This stone cottage with living/dining room opening o to the pool deck with private swimming pool is located in a little hamlet and is an excellent base for resting, walking, biking and swimming. The property is in a beautiful and tranquil rural position close to many lakes ans historic towns.

This is Ideal for families seeking relaxation. Various games are provided at the property, there is a pretty garden and also a terrace with a barbecue for warm summer evenings.

The Loire Valley / Mayenne region

St Hilaire du Harcouet with its famous country open market is 15 km away, Historical Fougères with large forest and the medieval castle is 20 km away.

Historical Mayenne and castle is 35 km away as well as Domfront with wild water and cliffs, great for climbing and canoeing. The Mont Saint Michel and the beaches are 50 km away.

The locality within easy driving distance there are wonderful beaches, swimming and boating lakes, children's parks, interesting historic towns, Roman remains,

Caen is a wonderful historic city and the Museum to Peace. Do not miss the Tapestry at Bayeux.

La Doree / Fougerolles du Plessis area

The district Fougerolles du Plessis is a delightfully situated village, just 3/4 hour from the nearest beaches yet set in the charming Mayenne Bocage, an area of undulating woodlands, rolling fields and trickling streams.

The village has excellent local services : a supermarket, petrol station, banks, hairdressers, bars, bakeries. In fact, everything you could need.

It is only a short drive to the very pretty town of Fougeres, to St Hilaire du Harcouet with its renowned Wednesday market or to larger ( but equally attractive) cities such as Mayenne.

How to get there

St Malo Ferrie is about one hour drive and Cherbourg is less than 2 hours.
Ryan Air Fly Stanstead to Dinard in just less than an hour.
To fly Dinard or Rennes are also within the hour maybe 45 mn drive, Ryan Air has cheap air fares in to Dinard and B Midlands have reasonable fares to both Dinard and Rennes ; from Ireland flights, from Dublin to Rennes with Aer Lingus until October, Ryan Air have good rates in car hire.

Caen : 1.5 hrs (Brittany Ferries)
St Malo : 1.5 hrs (Brittany Ferries)
Cherbourg : 2 hrs (Brittany Ferries)
Le Havre : 2 hrs (LD Lines)

Most attractive and unusual conversion of part of a working farm. The kitchen is well appointed, spacious and like the rest of downstairs has a traditionally tiled French floor throughout. There is an electric cooker plus microwave, washing machine, fridge, freezer and a family sized table. The bathroom is downstairs and also a delightful and comfortable roomy living room with T.V and satellite digibox. UPSTAIRS : is most unusual and very pretty. There are 3 double beds and 2 singles in the three bedrooms (one of which is a delightful mezzanine room.) and 1 W.C.

Linen and towels are not automatically provided, but can be for an extra charge but must be requested when booking, price per person and week is 10€.
A 25% deposit is required to secure your reservation, with the balance to be paid 8 weeks before rental period commences.
25% deposit which is required before a booking can be confirmed is non-refundable. You are advised to take out a Travel Insurance Policy with a cancellation clause, such as Europ Assistance, which may enable you to recover non-refundable monaies in the event of cancellation.
A breakages deposit of 150€ is required on arrival, to be refunded within 2 weeks or your departure, subject to satisfactory property inspection.
Changeover Saturday
Cleaning : whole house cleaning is available on departure at a cost of 40 €uros..
Telephone is available for emergency.
Electricity is not included in rent.
