Grand Pic is set in the grounds of a large domaine of 3.2 hectares (7.5 acres) with a small lake and the ruins of an old chapel and provides quality appointed accommodation for a totally relaxing break.
Grand Pic has its own front garden with in and out driveway and a patio area for al fresco dining along with a garage to keep the car cool in hot weather. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a family bathroom with bath/shower over, wc and wash hand basin. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, bedroom 2 has twin single beds and bedroom 3 has bunk beds. Downstairs there is a separate shower room with wash hand basin, a separate WC and separate laundry room. The open plan downstairs accommodation includes a large dining area, fully equipped kitchen and spacious lounge area with double patio doors leading onto the outside terrace complete with table, chairs and parasol to provide an alternative outdoor dining area. An integral single garage completes the accommodation.
The pool, spa and terrace area with its gazebo and sun loungers offers the perfect place to relax in the sun or shade and enjoy a dip. The location is very peaceful being in the heart of the countryside with the nearest village shops within an 8 minute drive. This is a beautiful region of France where vineyards and sunflowers abound. the area is wonderful for visiting the Cathar castles, the fairytale ancient cité of old Carcassonne and the "rose" city of Toulouse.
Quite simply it is an ideal location for a holiday for everyone.

The gite offers effective electric heating for those chilly Autumn evenings and also provides the luxury of English free to air satellite TV along with the DVD/VCR player.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the equipment necessary for most cooking tasks.

The domain is set in the heart of the French country side giving guests plenty of outside space. The pool, spa and terrace area with its gazeebo and sun loungers offers the perfect place to relax in the sun or shade and enjoy a dip. Exclusive use of the terrace area around the pool is afforded to guests but the owners may join you to cool off in the pool. Pool toys, lilos and a range of garden games are provided and there is a WC close to the pool.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Aude region
This is a beautiful region of France where vineyards and sunflowers abound.
Wine tasting is everywhere including in the village itself.
The Pyrenees are visible from many places locally and easily reached.
The location is wonderful too for visiting the many Cathar castles and of course the fairytale ancient cité of old Carcassonne is a must for young and old alike.
The "rose" city of Toulouse makes a great day out and of course the Mediterranean beaches are little over an hour away and only 2 hours to the borders with Spain.
The La Courtete area
The gite is located on a domain situated approximately 10km from Limoux a popular market town and 30km from the medieval walled city of Carcassonne. The castle at Carcassonne is a hit with the young and old alike, steeped in history and with a little imagination one can step back in time.
Limoux is renowned for its sparkling wine Blanquette de Limoux said to pre-date champagne. It has to be tried and where better than at the summer night market held every week in July and August. Market day is every Friday in Limoux. The main market in Carcassonne is on Saturday with smaller markets on a Thursday.

Prices for off peak dates (Spring and Autumn) are for a couple per week - please add £75 per additional person in your party (max 6 people £600 per week). All other dates available on request. Prices include electricity, bedding and towels. There is a small supplement for pool towels and mid stay linen change if required.
