The kitchen is fully fitted including a washing machine,dishwasher,microwave, fridge/freezer,electric oven with gas hob,a highchair/cot can be made available.The kitchen table will comfortably seat eight people and everything is included with picnic sets and all appliances.
The living room is attractively furnished with huge sofas and a cast iron wood burning fire; it has UK satellite with a wall mounted plasma television, DVD player and a range of DVDs,books and games are supplied.Real fire, house linen, towels provided, wi-fi internet access.There is a downstairs WC and a hand built oak staircase. Bedroom 1 with double bed, double wardrobe,Bedroom 2 with two single beds and double wardrobe,Bedroom 3 with bunk single on top and double at bottom.
Luxury family shower room with jacuzzi power shower, wash basin and toilet.The house is open all year benefiting from electric heating and a wood burning fire in the lounge. Sheets and towels are all included for your convenience except beach.

There is an abundance of secure parking and the property benefits from a private graveled patio area with BBQ, parasol and garden furniture. It has outside lighting and the rear seating area at the house is also undercover.
There is a large in ground heated swimming pool, with sun loungers, benches and parasols; we also have a children's play area and a French boules court with seating too! The property is open all year round, benefiting from oil-fired / electric central heating throughout and a wood burning fire in each lounge. The many acres of gardens benefit from landscaped pathways beside flower borders and a variety of fruit trees in the orchard. In addition chickens are located within the grounds in their own enclosure assuring guests of a plentiful supply of freshly laid eggs.
The property is situated amidst rolling countryside with outstanding views over the surrounding hills but located within easy reach of main attractions and larger towns.
Payment is made by bank transfer upon booking to secure your booking. A 25% deposit is paid initially with the balance payable 8 weeks in advance of arrival.A booking form is sent at the first stage of booking with all the relevant information.We also accept short stays out of season for two nights plus and can provide breakfast if required. Please enquire directly as to availability.
Rental is from Saturday to Saturday.
Arrival time after 4pm and departure time before 11 am.
Alternative arrival and departure days may be possible out of the high season. Short breaks are possible early and late season for just a few nights.
Whilst we ask you to leave the accommodation as you find it. We can provide an after stay cleaning service for your convenience as an alternative. We will supply travel directions upon confirmation of your booking along with any booking payment information. We can also arrange airport/train collections as an extra service. The property is non smoking with no pets allowed.
The Pays de la Loire region
There is a wealth of things to do in an area full of history.The Vendee Wars offer a fascinating insight into the regions history and there are many attractions as a result of that period. There are many chateauxs close to our properties all with their own story to tell.
A fabulous wide variety of superb sandy beaches along the Atlantic coast are only a short drive away offering many choices which we can happily advise on.
Mervent Forest - nearby, a paradise for nature lovers and lots of sporting activities. You can explore the many marked footpaths by foot, cycle or horseback. All the lakes are suitable for swimming and you can hire sail boats and try your hand at archery. There is also an amusement park and superb small zoo with lions and bears.
Attractions in the surrounding countryside include the museums, windmills, clock chimes and paintball at Mouilleron-en-Pareds, hot air balloning from our own land, sailing at Lac de Rochereau and fishing/golf opportunities are endless.
Fontenay-le-comte - is a Renaissance town with delightful architecture, shady parks, elegant squares and a relaxed pace of life with superb market on Saturdays.
Puy de Fou - is one of the most visited attractions in France where you can see the re-enactment of medieval times, chariot races, vikings and birds of prey.
Marais Poitevin Venise Vert is the canal system the Vendée is famous for where you can hire boats or be punted around. Also a great wine trail within 20km and so much else!
Vendee Globe - Round the world single handed yacht race departs locally every two years and features many British sailors. Tour de France - Most famous bike race passes close by and check the link for yearly schedule.
Two minutes walk bar tabac with fresh bread daily.2kms away boulangerie, Spa supermarket, charcuterie and bars/restaurant. La Chataigneraie is situated 10 mins away which has a number of supermarkets. Vouvant 10 minutes away - a medieval town, recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in France with it's medieval ramparts, cobbled streets and pretty houses. The town is well known as a village of painters and there are arts and crafts shops as well as some lovely cafes and restaurants.
A riding stable, the Poney club de menjopolis, is 2 minutes from our gite where all abilities are welcome and prices start from 10 euros per hour for tuition.
A wide variety of sandy beaches within 45 mins easy drive through the wine region. Fabulous surfing and body boarding amongst the best in France at Les Conches.
