Home description
Charming renovated cottage sleeping up to 8 + cot. Fully equipped with all modern appliances inc UK freeview TV. Just 15 minutes away is our small private Carp lake for the angler (FOC) Reservoirs for fishing on a day ticket, or a holiday fishing permit can be localy purchased should you wish to fish on the many beautiful nearby lakes and rivers. Some lakes also offer sandy beaches, safe bathing and watersports. The golf course is only a 10 minute drive away and we also have, by separate arrangement, a fully equipped music rehearsal studio for the songwriter or band.

The Limousin / Auvergne / Creuse region
The deparment of La Creuse is a beautiful rural area of France, situated to the north of the "Massif Central" with it's mountains and extinct volcanoes. Boasting 1200 kms of rivers and 1,000 hectares of lakes, many with watersport facilities and safe bathing, it is the ideal area for a relaxing, and very "French" holiday.The summer months are warm and balmy, ideal for evening B.B.Q's. The nearby "Circuit de Romanticism" gives you an insight in to the life of Georges Sands the famed 19th century diarist, novelist and lover of Chopin.
La Cellette area
The nearest man made beach is only 15 minutes away at Chateleus Malveleix. Gueret is the department's capital town with it's many shops and restaurants. It also has a wolf park and labyrinth and weekly market. There is also the opportunity to do ceramic painting in Gueret. La Chatre is a quaint and pretty town. With it's cobbled streets, bars and restaurants,Saturday market and beautiful indoor/outdoor swimming pools, it is well worth a visit. Close by, Montgivray, a small and charming village, holds a renowned 2 day Jazz festival in July. There are also many "Brocantes" and special fete days held throughout the Spring and Summer months. Plenty of places of beauty and historical interest to visit including Oradour-sur-Glane the martyred village of WW2, Gargilesse the artist's village and one of France's most picturesque villages, Saint Benoit du Sault, all within easy driving distance. Banana Parc, Orsennes opened summer 2008. Swimming pool, with sandy beach and volleyball, go karts, pony rides, bouncey castles, quad bikes, canoes and fishing - nice restaurant and bar by pool only 25 min drive. Futurscope is approx 2 hours away.

Low cost flights from UK to Limoges Ryanair or Flybe (80 mins drive) By train, nearest train station Chateauroux If you want to see more of the country why not come by ferry from anyone of a number of ports (we always use Speedferries from Dover to Boulogne)

25% deposit required when booking and balance payable 6 weeks before arrival. Any breakages to be paid for or replaced. £100 returnable security deposit required (cheque preferred). Smoking is permitted but not in bedrooms.
