Welcome to our brand new and modern Penthouse apartment in La Cala de Mijas. The apartment benefits from a 135 square meters rooftop terrace, covered with sun from early morning to late evening. It is furnished in a contemporary style and has excellent view over the Mediterranean sea.
This is a 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom luxury penthouse with approximately 80 square meter inside space. It has 4 sleeps, with additional sleeping berth in the living-room sofa. Bright, modern and furnished to a high standard throughout, in the gated complex CalaBlanca.
The building has 3 floors below this penthouse. The top floor is the "Atico", and the elevator takes you there, either directly from the garage or the ground entrance. You have a designated parking-space in the underground parking area, with direct access to the top floor through the elevator. There is also free street parking for additional cars.
The apartment is located in a very quiet community, withdrawn from the local road, without disturbing noise from traffic or any other construction work. Suitable for all ages. The urbanisation has 24 hours in-house security.
CalaBlanca has a very nice pool with a smaller childrens pool next to it, with gardens and sun-lounge area, showers and changing area. Perfectly overlooking the pool from the penthouse. The terrace is south-west facing and extends all around the apartment, in a "U" facing towards the sea. You are covered the whole day with morning, day and evening sun, with approximately 135 square meters of terrace.
The private rooftop consists of a spacious design sofa, 4 exclusive sun loungers, a dining table for 6 persons (with a large Barbeque to go along). All outside funiture made in exclusive rattan design. In addition, the outside table tennis is available for fun in the sun.
The livingroom has a large corner sofa and a coffee table, a 55" Samsung LED TV with 3D, BluRay-player and Apple TV connected with WiFi. There is a dining table for 6 persons inside as well.
Master bedroom consists of 1 queen size bed with a large design headbord in brown suede, a private bathroom with tub and shower screen, a wardrobe, and a porch door with private exit to the terrace.
Second bedroom consists of 2 single beds (can be combined if desired), a wardrobe, and an enclosed bathroom with all facilities.

The Andalucia region
The Costa del Sol is a region in the south of Spain, in the autonomous community of Andalucia. It is comprised of the coastal towns and communities along the Mediterranean coastline of the Málaga province. With approximately 320 days of sun a year, it is no wonder the region got its name. Formerly made up only of a series of small, quiet fishing settlements, the region has been transformed during the later part of the 20th century, into a tourist destination of world renown.
Historically its population lived in the fishing villages, and in the "white" villages a little distance inland, in the mountains running down to the coast. The area was discovered and developed to meet the demands of international tourism in the 1950s and has since been a popular destination for foreign tourists, not only for its beaches but also for its local culture. The area is particularly famous for its towns like Marbella, which provides the Costa del Sol with its reputation for being a playground for its super-rich and famous visitors.
La Cala de Mijas
Located in the heart of Costa del Sol, only a 20 minute drive west of Malaga Airport, you'll find the beautiful town of La Cala de Mijas. From the penthouse, it is only a 6 minute walk to the award winning La Cala beach, with miles of Costa del Sol's finest sand. A even shorter walk will take you to restaurants, bars, café's, shops, supermarkets, etc. Two convenience grocery stores are within walking distance of your apartment, selling most items you need for your stay.
La Cala de Mijas still has that small town charm and feel, yet the refinement and amenities of a modern town. Every wednesday and saturday you can walk to the local market within 3 minutes, where you can purchase anything from local fresh produce, clothing, jewellery, and everything else you desire. If you walk 200 m further down the street, you will find supermarkets, bars, grocery stores, playgrounds, historical landmarks and romantic restaurants. La Cala has the perfect mix of restaurants from around the world.
There are Irish bars, English bars and authentic Spanish bars to choose from, all within a few blocks of each other. You will find restaurants from all corners of the globe and retail stores up and down the narrow, quaint cobble stone streets. For your own little Jack Sparrow, a pirate ship playground is located along the beach-walk promenade, a big hit with the kids, if you can drag them away from the inviting, warm Mediterranean ocean.
La Cala is a golfers paradise and probably one of the best Golf locations on the coast. These include Mijas Golf, Miraflores Golf, La Siesta Golf, Santana Golf, Calanova Golf, and El Chaparral Golf Club. Within walking distance from the apartment, you'l find La Noria Golf resort, a 9 hole course that are popular from both beginners and professionals. It is also a very short drive to the famous La Cala Golf, the largest golf complex in Spain.
Close to all amenities of La Cala de Mijas, and no need for a car. If you decide to rent a car, it is a short drive to Fuengirola, Benalmadena, Mijas Pueblo, Torremolinos, Marbella and Puerto Banus.

"Exactly as described and a great place to stay"

"Great stay in a beautiful area of Costa del Sol"
The CalaBlanca Penthouse offer great opportunities for either relaxing at the beach and the pool area or a more active stay, as we did; playing golf, go for a bicycle ride in the beautiful scenery or visit the nerby coastal areas, such as La Cala de Mijas and Marbella.
