The accommodation contains 2 bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom, a separate shower room, two WCs, lounge with dining area, and a fully fitted kitchen.
The fully-equipped kitchen has a microwave, oven/hob, extractor, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and all utensils and crockery.
The apartment has free internet access and air-conditioning (hot/cold).
There are two large private terraces - one to the front (accessible from the lounge and master bedroom) and one to the rear (accessible from the guest bedroom) - so you can get sun all day without even leaving the apartment. The lounge area has an L-shaped leather sofa, coffee table, television with all English free to view channels, DVD player, and dining table and chairs for 4.
The two bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space. The en-suite bathroom has bath with shower as well as a hand sink and WC.
Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds, bedside tables, and also has fitted wardrobes, with drawer space.
The separate shower room also has a wash-hand basin and wc.
All linen and towels are supplied, and a beach bag, including beach towels, can be made available upon request.

The apartment is set within a pleasant gated complex with landscaped gardens and a communal pool area. There is a public picnic area with BBQ facility and cafe, less than 5mns walk from the complex. A new gym has just opened within a 3 min walk, offering day membership.

The Andalucia region

La Cala de Mijas
La Cala de Mijas, with its golden sandy beaches, numerous restaurants and bars, is at the heart of the Costa del Sol, only a short distance from Marbella and Fuengirola,
It used to be an old fishing village and although it has now been developed into a small town, it is still unspoilt by mass tourism.
La Cala is a vibrant and thriving town which has attracted a lot of new businesses over the past 5 years. Holiday-makers are becoming more independent and are looking to find out what La Cala can offer in terms of a holiday centre. At the same time those who live and work around this part of the coast require information and details of businesses close to them.
Whilst La Cala has maintained a level of the real Spain it has also taken on, in a small way, something of an international flavour. There is an English nightclub (Legends), numerous cafes and restaurants and pubs. There are estate agents, banks, doctors, lawyers. The new Costa del Sol Hospital is no more than 15 minutes in the direction of Marbella. English daily newspapers are in the newsagents each morning before 9am.
La Cala de Mijas has retained much of it's traditional Andalucian charm, and has a lovely palm-fringed plaza, hosting a variety of shops, bars, and restaurants. There are 2 supermarkets, banks with cash-points, park with kid's play area, and a free car park.
There is a popular outdoor market in La Cala, just 5 minutes walk from the apartment, which is held every Wednesday and Saturday morning. Clothes, jewellery and leather goods would appear to be the speciality.
All in all, La Cala is the perfect holiday resort.

I can't add anything to excellent reviews of late. Paul has obviously listened to earlier criticisms and rectified. We have stayed on two occasions and will definitely be returning. All in all a GREAT place to stay!

"Excellent, thoroughly recommended."
This was everything we hoped for and more. Very clean, modern apartment with Bristish Freesat channels, free wi-fi and air con, sunny balconies with decent views, all in all a real home from home. The owner was also very helpful and responded promptly to queries, a pick up from the airport was also arranged at less then the online transfer costs. Great pool area which we had to ourselves on more then one occasion, the kids loved it. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the centre and the beach, we had a great time and would recommend to others.

"Great location and accommodation"
We returned this week from a two week holiday at the Calablanca. We travelled as a family of 4 and all found the property ideal. The apartment was very clean with a very well equipped kitchen in quiet surroundings. Whilst a car is far from necessary, we did find having a car beneficial. The bars, restaurants and beach are all walking distance from the apartment though we did use the car during the day to avoid walking in the heat with two children. Without doubt, we would not hesitate to book this apartment again having had a super time! We found Paul most helpful. Thank you!

"Very clean and very comfortable"
Nice apartment in good location within easy walking distance of La Cala village. Spotlessly clean and very well equiped even if the kitchen is a bit small. Nice sunny balcony. Comfy double bed in main bedroom. Second bedroom probably more suited to 2 children than 2 adults and I can't vouch for the comfort of the twin beds as there were only 2 of us. As these apartments are quite new everything works and the community is well maintained.

"Lovely apartment, great situation"
This apartment is in a great location. It is a short walk to La Cala with shops, bars and restaurants. It a a very comfortable apartment with two terraces. It is very well equiped with both a dishwasher and a washer drier. It also has satalite tv and wifi.

"Excellent week at Calablanca"
Just back from week stay, apartment is in a great location and lovely inside, very clean and has everything you need. Pool area is great, (we basically had pool to ourselves for full week) Great service from agent Bryan who provided an airport pick up for a reasonable price. La cala village is small but got everything you need, beach is 5 mins walk from apartment, restaurants are great and we really enjoyed drinks in the Irish bar. Easy to travel into Marbella or benalmadena if looking for bit of nightlife. Will definitely be back in future

"We are already planning our return trip!"
Wow! From the moment we landed, we had the number of the property manager to collect us, and he brought us to the property. It was spotless, close to La Cala de Mijas so we didn't need to worry about a hire car. The owners provided us with plenty of info beforehand which really helped us. The kids were safe at all times and the air conditioning was a life saver, as was the digital TV! A good distraction to get the kids out of the sun for a while!

"Nice place to stay & relax."
Clean, compact, uncluttered and in a quiet location yet only a 5 minute stroll to the start of La Cala (5 minutes further on to the beach). The balcony off the twin room catches the morning sun and the balcony on the other side becomes very sunny and pleasant right through to sunset. The pool area is well maintained and is generally quite peaceful. In fact, we had it totally to ourselves on a couple of occasions when the Spanish kids were having their siestas. The storage space within the apartment isn't too great and the three of us (including my wife & daughter) had to use a little bit of creative thinking to find a place for everything. However, It's a minor gripe and certainly not a major issue. La Cala itself is quite small but as the days & nights go by you'll gradually discover more than enough decent places to eat out to fill a fortnight. It's beach is fine and you'll have no bother finding your own little bit of space if you don't want to be amongst the hubbub. There are also two large supermarkets within easy walking distance for anything you need. If you want to venture off elsewhere, the bus to Marbella stops underneath the main coastal road and the bus to Fuengirola stops in the street running through the resort. We went to Marbella and it took around 50 minutes (loads of stops) but I'd imagine Fuengirola would be a little quicker. Finally, to eliminate a couple of uncertainties, I'd recommend the airport meet & greet if you're not driving. A chap called Bryan was waiting for us at arrivals and he took us to and showed us around the apartment. Although there was no welcome pack available, Bryan did offer to drop us at the nearby supermarket to pick up some basics. I'd guess it's a slightly cheaper option than a taxi as well. Bryan also offered to take us back to the airport and he appeared spot on time when we were leaving.

"Modern apartment, excellent amenities, good location for exploring the costa del sol."
This apartment is very modern and nicely finished. There were 2 balconies front and back so you could get the sun at any time of the day. It was great to have 2 bathrooms in a 2 bedroom place. The underground car parking is very secure and the apartments themselves are also secure. The kitchen cupboard storage space wasn't excellent but you don't really need that when you are on holiday. There was a very spacious fridge/freezer though. The location was great in that you could walk to the local supermarket/shops/restaurants. Although la cala de mijas itself isn't too big, if you like exploring with a car the location is excellent. Always a bonus to only be roughly a 25 minute drive from the airport. We also played some golf and there are excellent courses within a 10 minute drive away.
