But despite this development the area retains a relaxed southern-Spanish charm.

The beaches along the Málaga province are exceptional; from quiet, secluded coves to fashionable stretches. This southern coast is famous for its fresh fish and seafood and the perfect place to dine alfresco. Golf is very popular and there are over 50 courses in the area, all in magnificent locations offering views out towards the sea.

La Cala de Mijas

La Cala de Mijas is an unspoilt fishing village that still enjoys a typical Spanish lifestyle with good choice of fabulous restaurants and bars and the spectacular Blue Flag beach. One of the nicest spots on the coast and is only a 20 minute drive from Malaga Airport.

La Cala village and beach are just a 10 minute walk from the house - this beach is one of the best beaches on the Costa Del Sol.

Cabopino Beach and Harbour are just 10 minutes by car and Marbella and Puerto Banus are just 15 minutes by car from the house.

In the opposite direction Fuengirola is 15 minutes by car.
