Les Chenes is a great holiday location for all the family offering relaxation, things to do and places of interest to visit locally.
The house benefits from a private new hard tennis court and a new heated fenced pool 10x5m (with large terrace -200m2), overlooking gardens and fields.
There are many beautiful countryside walks from the house. Mountain Bikes are available to explore the miles of tracks and quiet country lanes which surround La Caillere.

The Poitou-Charentes / Vendee / Vendee region
The Vendee has a varied landscape consisting of 140 km of coastline (fantastic beaches), the Marais Poitevin a patchwork of fields divided by canals, plains and the bocage. La Caillere is located in the bocage area of the Vendee, an area of rolling contryside dotted with lakes and forests.
The area enjoys a good climate with one of the best sunshine records in France.
There are many historical places of interest and great theme parks at Puy-du-Fou(45min) and Futuroscope(90min)
La Caillere area
La Caillere is a large village with a range of shops consisting of a small well stocked super market, boulangerie, boucherie, poissonerie (weekends only), pharmacie, banks, bar/tabac, petrol station, pizzeria and restaurant. There is also a football pitch for ball games and a skateboard park about 5 minutes walk.
Around La Caillere there are many tracks and lanes perfect for walking and cycling.
Of the many places to visit nearby are Fontenay-Le-Comte with its ancient sreets of Renaissance houses, Vouvant one of the most beautiful villages in France and the vast Mervent-Vouvant forest to name just a few.
As well as the new tennis court on site there are 4 indoor courts at the Tennis club in Fontenay-le-Comte
How to get there
You can take your car via Brittany ferries who sail to Roscoff, Cherbourg, Caen & St Malo. Just 3 hours from St Malo.
There are Airports at Nantes and La Rochelle both being 1 hour away.
Ryan Air, BA & Air France fly into Nantes. Flybe, Ryan Air & Easy jet fly into La Rochelle.

Mid stay cleaning and linen change for bookings of more than one week. English speaking owners on hand to answer any questions. Change over saturday, flexible in low season. Bikes available at additional cost. Tennis coaching available at additional cost.
Conditions
Strictly no smoking except externally. A deposit of £150 is required per week booked, the balance is payable 8 weeks before the start of your booking. A refundable breakages security deposit of £150 is required on arrival. The client to take out a travel insurance policy giving full personal liability cover for all members of the party.(under French law this is not covered by the property owners insurance)
