About the home

Set in the village of Planes Del Rei our villa has Beautiful secluded gardens with a private pool and lovely views with secure parking for 3 cars it is very peaceful and relaxing plenty of room for two families The lounge is very large with good quality furniture The bedrooms are all large in summer it is very cool inside the house with celing fans in every room in winter there is a log fire and central heating this is a very homely villa with every thing in mind for your comfort.a wonderfull south facing garden gives you the sun from sun up to sun down a holiday at our villa will give you wonderfull memories which will last a life time

Our villa you will find is a home from home with everything you could want . in the lounge there is a 32" flat screen tv with sky also in the master bedroom is a flatscreen tv with sky. a video player with films is also available. and a play station with many games The 4 bedrooms are all doubles with built in wardrobes and celing fans. the lounge is large and leads off to a terrace which acts as an additional room which we mostly use for eating and relaxing and admiring the views of the mountains it also overlooks the pool. and patio area there is a cot and high chair available and all bed linen and towels will be provided.free of charge the prices are fully inclusive no hidden charges a welcome pack of food also supplied on arrival and english reps are there to meet you at the villa.

The gardens go completely round the villa and is very secure with lockable gates so, very safe for young children . The garden is lawned and full of shrubs and flowers which make a lovley setting there is secure parking for up to 3 cars. there is a large terraced area around the pool with sun loungers and a large covered terrace with a built in barbecue and comfortable seating. it is a very peaceful and tranquil setting. and the gardens are south facing so catch the sun all day.

Conditions

A deposit of £100 per week will be required to secure your booking. with the balance due 8 weeks before your holiday.
A deposit of £150 will be required against damage which will be returned to you after inspection of the villa.
Smokers are welcome to smoke on the terrace but not in the villa. a small pet may be allowed please ask.

The Costa Dorada/Tarragona region

The Costa Dorada which means gold coast says it all miles of golden sandy beaches.and with hundreds of restaurants to choose from. the local beaches are blue flag award beaches and are perfect for familys . Close by are the popular resorts of Cambrills which apart from being a famous fishing port has wonderful beaches and an amazing selection of restaurants it is a very popular place with tourists and locals .and Salou for those looking for a good night life Salou is a great resort many english restaurants and spanish to choose from and many night clubs for those wishing to dance the night away. also the popular theme park Portadventure which is owned by Universal Studios has something for all ages. costa carib water park is also situated there. There are also 2 very good golf courses within 10min drive from the villa Bonmont and Figurola . For those who like to hike there are many hiking trails in the mountains. Close by is the roman city of Tarragona well worth a visit Barcelona is an easy train ride away where you can visit the many attractions such as Las Rambalas and Antonio Gaudi Segrada Familia,Park Quell and many more not to forget the shopping.

The L'Hospitalet de L'Infant / Las Planes del Rei area

Throughout the summer there is hardly a week goes by when there is not a local festival the summer festival of St Joan around the week of 21st June is quite something with the locals dressing up as devils and dancing in the streets with fireworks. the beaches are lovley here with a lovley shallow bay ideal for children you can hire boats for as little as 6 euros there is a marina with restaurants and bars and a large market takes place here every sunday morning there are many shops from supermarkets to gift shops and also at least 5 banks in town you will also find a good selection of restaurants and a tourist infomation booth who speak english. There is also a medical centre which is open 24hrs. this is a very delightfull spanish town with everything you could need

Also around mid august again fireworks and street dancing and all free. there are many places to visit locally there are many hiking trails in the mountains and wonderfull golf courses. Planes del rei is a very unique village with lovley walks and views it is very quiet and friendly. available in the village is 3 bars ,all selling food ,tennis courts, a gym, horse ranch{treks available} football pitch, bouls pitch, children's play area. the village is abundent with flowers and trees and people come from far afield to visit the famous planes del rei buffet.

Ryanair to Reus 20 minutes from the villa or Easyjet to Barcelona 90minutes away. please note car hire is essential a helpfull website is doyouspain.com who offer good rates from Reus and Barcelona airports Valencia is another alternative which is about 2 hours drive or ferries to Bilbao northern spain which is about 4 hours drive

“Ideal for those who want the quiet life yet not too far from the hustle and bustle” Just returned from staying at this villa would recommend it to family with or without children ideally situated close enough to Salou ,Portavetura and an easy train ride to Barcelona; it is in a residential area which is undergoing updates to the community. There is a Buffet resteraunt that serves traditional Catalonian food which was not to our taste, but for those that want to sample the Spanish lifestyle it is ideal. The small Pizza shop is crucial for those who are less adventurous. This villa is good value for money and well maintained by the owners.
