Gardenia our South facing 3 bedroom villa, with full sun all year, situated in its own grounds. The pool and gardens are surrounded by high walls for your maximum privacy and security.
The pool has underwater lighting, a solar heated shower, a large patio area with garden furniture a parasol and sun loungers.
There are no less than six clean safe sandy beaches nearby, several just a couple of minutes by car.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia region
Villa Gardenia is nearby to the famous ruins of Empuriés along the coast , two complete towns, one Greek, one Roman, where you can wander through ancient times.
The beautiful beaches below the ruins are a perfect place to relax after a morning's exploration. You could also walk along the boardwalk to the tiny medieval hamlet Sañt Marti for lunch in the square over looking the sea.
Visit Figueres where the Dali Museum is located, Barcelona the capital of Catalonia, and Geroña the medieval walled city is a worthy day trip from our villa.
As an antidote to cultural overload, why not visit the Aqua Brava water park on the outskirts of Roses. On our visits we have found it clean and a carefully landscaped theme park with plenty to do throughout the day for all age groups.
Another suggestion, spend a day on the " Dali Trail" driving along breathtaking mountain roads, through the pretty town of Cadaques and on to the coast road around the artist's former home at Port Lligat all within easy reach from our Villa.
L'Escala area
The old fishing port of L'Escala has developed with the holiday industry whilst retaining its former original traditions.
Those wanting a more relaxing time, there are places of interest to visit and places to eat and drink at the pace of an elderly snail.
Like other Spanish towns we have many fiestas and cultural events, ours takes place in the first two weeks of September.
How to get there
L'Escala is approximately just over 35 mins drive from Geroña, 90 mins from Barcelona or Pérpignan airport in France, all served by low cost airlines such as Ryanair, Easyjet, Thomsonfly, Bmibaby, Jet2 and Monarch etc; from the UK. The route to L' Escala is via the A7 toll road or the N11 freeway. To fully appreciate the area we recommend you hire a car. Further details indoors: There are 3 bedrooms, which sleep up to 6 persons. The 2 double bedrooms have built in fitted wardrobes, Catalan bedside cabinets, chair, and bedside lights. There is a double bed in each of the two large bedrooms. The twin bedroom has two single beds, with bedside cabinets. All windows have black out security blinds.
Living rooms. The villa is fully furnished and equipped for six people. The spacious lounge diner is equipped with LCD TV, DVD, Sky Satellite, BBC, ITV, etc; There are two new leather sofas, dining table and chairs, together with traditional Catalan furniture. The lounge has doors that lead to the front patio, pool and terrace.
The kitchen is fully tiled, equipped with modern fitted units and marble work-tops. Usual kitchen appliances include cooker, oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, electric kettle and toaster etc.
The bathroom is fully tiled, with a bath, shower, toilet and a washing machine.
We have just installed central heating for those out of season months.
There is a naya [a covered porch] with table and chairs, where you can dine outside in the shade, for those hot summer days.
Further details outdoors: The gardens include a solar heated shower, and a 7m x 3m kidney shaped pool with Roman steps. The pool has automatic under water lights, where you can enjoy swimming under the stars at night.
Sun loungers are provided, together with outdoor garden furniture, ideal for the cool of the day dining, where you can just put your feet up and relax in the garden with a bottle of excellent Spanish wine.

Preferred changeover day is Wednesday, we try to be flexible where ever possible. Take advantage of cheap mid-week flights. Most villas have changeover days at weekends but make big savings on your air fares with us if you go midweek.
Included in the price, the pool is maintained weekly and the villa is cleaned for your arrival. Bed linen and house towels are included in the price. Please bring your own beach towels.
We have a helpful English couple living nearby who look after our Villa, available for any queries you might have.
