The Costa Brava/Catalonia region
Catalunia is in Northern Spain just south of the French border. The famous coast is known as the Costa Brava, a favourite location for many years for people of all nationalities. Places to visit and things to do around this area are numerous. Explore the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains, including Olot and Banyoles, Andorra is 4 hours drive away. Small and large coastal resorts are situated all along the Costa Brava. There are the larger cities of Barcelona, Girona and Figueres where, art and achitecture capture your imagination. Venture north and you can visit southern France for the day
L'Escala area
Cala Montgo is a region of L'Escala situated along the headland that forms the Bay of Roses. Montgo is peaceful and very picturesque. It has lovely peaceful beaches. L'Escala itself is one of the smaller resorts along the Costa Brava. Renowned for it's anchovy products and ancient ruins. The older centre of town is a delight of small streets, cool and shaded in the summer but equally delightful out of the main season. Riels has a comfortably sized beach and pedestrian promenade with many bars and restaurants some of these are closed out of season. Empuries is famous for its Roman ruins and unspoilt beaches. In all there are 4 easily accessible beaches in L'Escala with the EU blue flag, many more are a short distance away.

Further details indoors: On entering Villa Xeric the hallway leads to the lounge which leads to the open plan kitchen dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped andthe lounge and dining seating is comfortable. A terrace runs the full length of the lounge/dining room, table and chairs furnish this terrace (see photos). There are stairs leading up and down from the lounge to bedrooms, bathrooms and gardens. Upstairs you will find 1 large spacious double bedroom with en suite bathroom and large outdoor private terrace also with table, chairs and sun loungers. Downstairs are 2 double bedroom and 2 twin bedded rooms, one full bathroom, one shower room and kitchenette/utility room. Two of the bedrooms on this level have direct access to the pool area. All the furnishings and equipment in the bedrooms are new and tastefully modern. All bedrooms have wardrobes and drawer space. All bed linen and indoor towels are provided. Please bring your own towels for the pool and beach. A child friendly house with cot and highchair on site. English speaking babysitting service also available.
Further details outdoors: Newly landscaped garden with a large private pool and tiled pool terrace. Patio furniture including plenty of sun-loungers, table and chairs. Built in bbq for you to take full advantage of the good weather and outdoor living. There is a large garage and enough parking space for another vehicle in the driveway.
