The villa is modern, light and spacious, and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a luxury holiday. The large open plan lounge and American kitchen offer direct access to the large balcony terrace with magnificent views to the sea, an ideal location for ‘al fresco’ dining.

The Costa Dorada/Tarragona region
This area of the Costa Dorada has a great deal to offer, here are a few examples and then it's up to you decide how much or how little you want to do!
For a relaxing day out, the Ebro Delta nature reserve is within a 15minute drive and is truly stunning, it is world renowned for the rare species of wildlife and birds. The beaches are incredible, the sand dunes were used as the setting in the film 'Sahara' starring Penelope Cruz.
There are lots of routes to take up into the picturesque mountains, where you will find lots of pretty mountain villages and views to take your breath away!
The historical town of Tortosa is within a 20minute drive of the villa, Tortosa offers some stunning architecture as well as some tempting shops. There is a large popular market held every Monday through out the year.
The popular resorts of Salou and Cambrils are within 30/40minutes (by car or regular train service form L'Ampolla). Salou is also the home of to one of the largest adventure theme parks in Europe, the Universal Studios Portaventura, for children of all ages!
The historic cities of Reus and Tarrgona are all within a 45minute drive, they are bustling vibrant places, ideal for a spot of shopping, sampling the traditional tapas restaurants, or gazing at the architecture. Tarragona also has an impressive Roman amphitheatre.
And of course not forgetting the magnificent city of Barcelona, the influence of Gaudi has made Barcelona one of the most impressive cities in the world. The most relaxing way of getting to Barcelona is to take the train from L’Ampolla to Barcelona Sants (return ticket approx. 18Euros). The best way to see the city is on the open top tourist bus, we recommend you take the blue and red route bus touristic, this offers the most comprehensive tour of the city. You can get on and off the buses as often as you like to experience the sights and attractions (day pass approx. 20Euros, reduced fares for children).
L'Ametlla de Mar area
The villa is located within a 10minute drive of the pretty harbour town of L'Ampolla. L' Ampolla sits on the edge of the Ebro delta and still retains its traditional Spanish fishing village charm, the walkways along the seafront make a lovely location for an evening stroll taking in the sea and harbour views. L'Ampolla has an abundance of restaurants, offerring both local and international cuisine and a reasonable selection of shops, including 2 supermarkets.
There are two sandy beaches within L'Ampolla itself and many more beautiful sany beaches and coves along the immediate coastline.
There is a railway station with a frequent and inexpensive service north to Salou, Port Adventura, Tarragona and Barcelona. There is also a daily train which travels south to Valencia.
How to get there
The villa is easily accessible with the closest airport being Reus only 40mins away! And Barcelona only approx. 90mins away, Girona approx. 2hours away, and Valencia approx. 2hrs 30mins away.
Reus international airport is served by Ryan Air all year round (advertised as Barcelona Reus and sometimes Reus Salou), offering flights from Dublin, Glasgow, Liverpool, Luton, Stansted, Birmingham and Bristol. Additionally there is a selection of other airlines operating in the summer, including, First Choice, Thomsons, My Travel etc.
Barcelona Airport is served by a variety of low cost airlines flying daily from the UK and Ireland (including, Easyjet, My Travel Lite, Thomson Fly etc.)
Girona Airport is served by a variety of low cost airlines including Ryanair and Easyjet offering flights from all of the UK and Ireland.
Valencia airport is served by both low cost and scheduled airlines, including Ryanair from East Midlands.

Further details indoors: The modern kitchen is fully fitted and well equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable holiday. There is a dishwasher, large American style fridge-freezer with an icemaker, microwave, kettle, toaster, oven, hob, a good selection of cooking equipment, utensils etc.
There is a television and DVD player. The television shows all the BBC, and ITV channels, as well as a selection of free channels, including some news channels and Eurosport news. Internet access available: we can provide a USB modem for use on your lap top (charged locally, approx. 30.00Euros per week for unlimited usage).
There are two double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms. The villa would suit 2 small families as there is a double and twin bedroom on each floor. The two upstairs bedrooms have fabulous en suite bathrooms. The 2 downstairs bedrooms have access to a beautifully tiled modern shower room. 3 of the bedrooms have fully fitted wardrobes with shelving and hanging space. The twin downstairs bedroom has direct access via patio doors to the garden. The double bedroom downstairs is equipped with a comfortable bedsetee as the double bed.
Further details outdoors: The swimming pool is set in a lawned garden, with a large patio, leading to the barbecue area. There are 7 sun loungers as well as outside dining furniture.

The villa is managed by a local English agent who provide a full pre-arrival administration service as well as a full in resort support service. All rental clients are given full directions to the motorway exit where you will be met on arrival and guided to Villa Marilyn. You will then be shown around the villa and familiarised with the area, and provided with an information folder, and contact numbers for any queries during your stay.

Deposit – An initial deposit payment is due to secure the booking, a further instalment will be due 8weeks before travel and the final balance in cash on arrival.
Security Deposit - There will be a security deposit of 300Euros or 200pounds sterling payable in cash on arrival (in either local currency or pounds sterling). This deposit will be refunded in full at the end of the holiday subject to the villa and its contents being returned to the property owner in the same condition. Any damages, losses or breakages will be deducted from the security deposit.
