"a beautiful mountain valley cottage retreat"
This cottage is a favourite holiday destination for us. We have been visiting regularly for several years, first as a couple then as a family with a young child. We love the location, going for walks across the paddocks and through the bush and enjoying the sun in the gardens. The open fire and the big bay window are our favourite things. The cottage has a rustic feel, which we enjoy as we go to wind down and relax. The bath has a view of the garden and hills, which more than makes up for the fact that it's a couple of steps across the covered verandah from the main rooms.
It's a only short drive to the village to stock up on food or to go to the cafes. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and keen to make your stay enjoyable.
We look forward to our annual visits and will definitely be back.

"The location was truly awesome"
Hermitage Cottage was a short weekend break away for us, from the chaotic pace of life in Sydney. It was an hour and a half journey on a Friday night & surprisingly for us, with little traffic. Hermitage Cottage is located in a beautifully remote location, although not too far from the city, it feels as if you are a long way away. Rolling hills & gorgeous landscape are breath taking & the cottage very quaint. I think the best way too describe the cottage is quirky. It is seeped in history & delightful to read its stories. We found it comfortable & beautifully quiet, except for the sound of the real outdoors. It's quirkiness is demonstrated via a bathroom that has a window as a wall, so you can relax and enjoy the outside, while soaking in the tub. I would definitely recommend it as a great getaway & our children adored being in the countryside & meeting all the different animals. Thanks very much to John & Peter

"A Country Haven with wonderful hosts!"
My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at Hermitage for a weekend and we couldn't have had a better time. The cottage combines the feel of being in a country homestead, with touches of luxury and a warm atmosphere.
The hosts were also incredibly friendly and happy to field our many questions about things to do and see in the area. In the end we spent our time walking around the farm and enjoying the beautiful gardens. Of an evening we sat by the fire with a glass of wine and to cap things off, breakfast was fantastic! We will definitely be back again soon.

"Perfect winter getaway"
Loved that we could walk anywhere on the property with our dog off the leash. The owners were very approachable, friendly, helpful, and didn't mind our dog barking at them each time she saw them! Also loved the wood fire, perfect for a winter getaway!

"A spacious, romantic and comfortable cottage set in a stunningly beautiful haven."
Stunning scenery, peace and quiet, acres to explore. Refreshingly spacious cottage with excellent kitchen and romantic wood burner, a haven for both us and the dogs We loved the bay and bath windows and the dogs had a great time playing in all that open space. 10/10 for the amazingly comfortable bed and pillows, a rare find in the B&B world!. My husband, dogs and I had a perfect weekend, we'll definitely be back.
