Although now there is a mixture of high modernised buildings and shoplots which existed in the pre-war ie before Kuala Lumpur fell to the colonial power in 1913.
Some of the attractions are Thean Hou Temple in Seputih 5km away, Masjid Jamek where the 1st settlement started in the famous muddy confluence about 7km away, Istana Negara about 6km away, Hotel Majestic which was rebuilt and refurbished in 2011 is about 5km away was built in 1932 for the home of the German Consul.
