About the home

Alegria is a beautiful, luxurious cottage located in Marloth Park, a private residential Nature Reserve bordering the Kruger National Park. The entrance gate to Kruger Park is just a 15 minute drive from the cottage. There are no fences in Marloth Park, therefore the animals wonder through though the park freely. Giraffe and Kudu come to eat from the trees in the garden and numerous other animals wonder past the cottage during the day, including impala, zebra, warthog and many more.

The cottage is beautifully furnished and has 3 spacious bedrooms, all with their own en suite bathrooms and air conditioning. It is a beautiful house, ideal for families.

The Cottage is a 90 minute drive from Kruger Airport. You can Hire a car at Kruger Airport to drive to the Cottage. If you are not keen to drive, we can organise our Exclusive Package for you. We will collect you at the Airport and transfer you to the Cottage. We will organise all your Game Drives in Kruger Park and organise other activities such as Elephant Back Riding, Horse Riding, Golf, Tiger Fishing, Bush BBQ, Shopping, etc.

The house has 3 bedrooms all with their own bathrooms and terraces. Downstairs there is a relaxing living area with huge terrace to sit and relax and watch the animals pass by. There is a fully equipped kitchen, opening onto the living area. The bedrooms are all downstairs with their own private bathrooms and air conditioning. There is also a small guest toilet. Upstairs there is a large loft area with Satellite TV, Video, etc. This area also has a sofa bed and could sleep 2 extra persons.

The house is superbly furnished and has a supply of books, CDs videos and games to keep you entertained.

Outside, at the front of the house, there is a large terrace with tables and chairs for 6. At the back of the house there is another huge terrace, with entertainment area, built in BBQ and a splash pool to keep you cool.

All bedrooms have wardrobes, dressing tables and beds (2 twins, 1 queen and 1 king) and air conditioning.

The house is superbly furnished and has a supply of books, videos, CDs and games.

All towels and bedding are supplied.

There are huge terraces at the front of the house and the back of the house. The upstairs loft also has a terrace. The downstairs terraces are superb entertainment areas and both have tables and chairs for 8 people.

The back of the house has a BBQ unit and is ideal for cooking dinner under the Kruger Sky, listening to the noises of the animals. Sun chairs are also available.

The Mpumalanga region

The climate is hot all year round. Winter runs from June - August, however the days are sunny and still hot.

Kruger Park is just a 15 minute drive from the house for a chance to see the "Big 5".

Maputo in Mozambique is just a 2 hour drive, including the border crossings - here there are beautiful beach front restaurants, where you can sample the famous Lourenco Marques prawns.

The Kruger Park/Mpumalanga area

Swaziland is also close by and well worth a visit for the craft markets and Swazi Villages.
Nelspruit is a one hour drive. Here there is a big Mall for all the shopaholics out there!
Hiking, house riding, fishing and golf all nearby.

The house has a travel file in the living area for your convenience with maps and information on the area.

The Cottage is a 90 minute drive from Kruger International Airport. You can hire a car at the Airport. If you are not keen to drive, we can arrange our Exclusive Package for you. This includes Airport Pick up and transport to the Cottage (with a stop for the shopping!).

Then we will arrange all your Game Drives to Kruger Park and other activities such as Elephant Back Riding, Horse Riding, Bush BBQ, Tiger Fishing, Golf, Shopping, etc.

The house is located inside Marloth Park, a residential wildlife reserve.
