The Limpopo Province region

Alongside the Kruger National Park, halfway North-South, in the Limpopo (formerly Northern) province, 1.2km from the town of Phalaborwa ("the town with two summers") within the Olifants River basin. Avuxeni Lodge offers a sub tropical climate with year round golfing and game viewing.

Walk onto the patio, past the plunge pool and onto the 7th fairway to start your round of golf. with giraffe, warthog and a variety of antelope being part of your game , Enjoy the 400 odd bird species of the Kruger Park.

Go on a night drive into the Kruger Park and see the big cats hunting at night. Visit the unique geological formations of Bourke's Potholes, take in the unequalled view from "God's Window," visit the nearby "Amarula Lapa" (the home of "Amarula" liquor) or the cheetah rehabilitation centre.

How to get there

SAA Airlink flies twice daily from Johannesburg to Phalaborwa, flying time 55 minutes. Avuxeni Lodge is 6 minutes/3 km from Phalaborwa airport and all major car hire companies have agencies at the airport..

Allternatively hire a car in Johannesburg and drive to Phalaborwa (approx 5 hours), with many attractive stopovers en route.

Fully equipped for self catering, Avuxeni Lodge is only minutes away from a variety of restaurants and is serviced weekly with optional daily servicing available for a nominal extra charge.
