The Carpathian / Polish Mountains / Tatra Mountains/Krakow Area
Lesser Poland lies in the upper confluence of the Vistula river and covers a large upland, including the Holy Cross Mountains, Lesser Polish Upland, Sandomierz Valley, and Lublin Upland. It stretches from the Carpathians in the south to Pilica and Wieprz rivers to the north. The wooden architecture (most notably, churches) of Lesser Poland are on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list. We can help you also to organize a tour to the nerby Auschwitz museum or top the Salt mines in Wieliczka. Zakopane is also nearby with its popular ski slopes and resorts.
Krakow area
Cracow, locally known as Krakow is the former capital of Poland, well know for its Old Town Main Square, the biggest square in Europe. Krakow is nowadays a major centre of local and international tourism, attracting seven million visitors per year. Every traveller will fall in love with Kraków's palaces, churches and mansions which display a richness of colour, architectural details, stained glass, paintings, sculptures, and furnishings.
Very popular among the young people are the plenty of places to drink, eat, and have a good time in Kraków. They are situated mostly in the city's historic Old Town district. Recently more trendy spots have been launched in the nearby Kazimierz quarter.
How to get there
Krakow has many air connection via budget airlines (Rynair, Wizzair, SkyEurope). The taxi drive to the city centre should cost you no more than 50 PLN (15 €). Please take an official airport company taxi (Radio Taxi 9191) try to avoid obstructive taxi drivers at the arrivals hall. Basically always get a taxi with a logo or name on top as these taxis are registered to companies that are accountable for their drivers actions. If you choose public transport we can recommend using a local train which takes just 15 minutes to get to the city centre and goes every 20 minutes. The cost of a normal ticket is just 1€.
