About the home
Kerala is loved for its friendly atmosphere, the ancient ayurvedic healing, and the food. Many people return year after year. A gentle introduction to India, Palaces, Temples and local villages and towns to shop in, tempt you out of the house, but it is wonderful to return to the privacy and peace of Lotus jewel.
We love watching the fire -flies on the terrace in the evening and the sound of the surf, in the early morning a walk on the beach and watch the local fishermen dive for the days catch. Head into Kovalam for a mojito at Fusion bar as the sun goes down, wander by the little shops and markets.

Two bedrooms, each with ensuite shower room, colonial four poster beds with mosquito nets, fans and natural air conditioning from the constant sea breeze, the house is designed to circulate air, throw the shutters open to the sea.
The maid will do your washing, make fruit salad for breakfast and keep the place clean, there is a fully equipped kitchen and Vinu can arrange for fresh fish. You can shop in the market for groceries or eat at a number of little restaurants close by. Two five star hotels are ten minutes away by local taxi for special occasions.
24 hour on site staff, discrete but always ready to help. manager will help with arranging trips and tours.

Sit on the Terrace, its outdoor living here, with perfect temperature and dappled shade from the palm grove, walk down to the lawn or the private beach area, and have a quiet sit and rest. Or walk out onto the beach for a stroll or swim, or just watch the sea eagles dive for fish.

The South India / Kerala region
Kerala is an area famous for coconut palms, fish, fruit and vegetables, and Ayurvedic healing massages. It has an ancient theatre Kathakali, classical music festivals, and many Temples and Palaces from time immemorial.
The coastline attracted traders for spice, and so the cuisine reflects many cultures, from Portuguese to Syrian influences. Kerala has excellent educational and medical facilities, it promotes a healthy life style. It is a wonderful place to visit, Trivandrum also hosts the Hay Literary Festival.
The Kovalam / Nellikunnu area
Kovalam has long been a tourist attraction since the hippies of the sixties came, and there are many yoga retreats here. Shopping and restaurants here are fun, you can make a trip to wash baby elephants, venture down to the tip of India, see the Palace of the Maharaja of Travancore, and the ancient temple of Kanyakumari.
Any stresses and strains you bring with you can be eased with Ayurvedic massages, daily visits to the clinic we recommend will see you going home completely revitalized, thats one of the reasons why many people come back year after year.
