Apartment with pool
About the home
This beautiful 2-bedroom apartment is located in an unrivalled position with stunning views of the spectacular Kotor Bay fiord and the romantic medieval town of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Within the pretty village of Muo, just next to Kotor, it occupies a tranquil position near the waterfront but within walking distance of Kotor’s charming amenities, marina and bustling Mediterranean-style piazzas. The historic village of Prcanj is also close by with its cafes and restaurants.
The apartment is part of a recently built boutique development in an elevated position behind the medieval Venetian stone houses that line the waterfront in Kotor-Muo.
The apartment is light and airy with floor to ceiling windows and two terraces extending from the main living area and master bedroom. It is well-appointed and has been equipped and furnished to the highest standards in a contemporary style. There is a climate control system (cooling/heating) and internet access, and an LCD flat-screen satellite TV, DVD and hi-fi systems are provided. The kitchen equipment includes a modern ceramic hob/extractor, microwave and dishwasher.
We have not compromised on space and design to accommodate extra beds and convertible sofas. Hence we offer the apartment for up to four people only, to ensure maximum comfort.
Everything has been provided with your enjoyment and comfort in mind, with a wide range of music, films, books, magazines, games and other extra facilities - plus quality bathroom towels and crisp cotton bed linen.
Situated on the ground floor with the gardens at the side, the apartment benefits from an extended sunny terrace area at the front of the property (with its own sun loungers) offering spectacular views of the sea and mountains.

With its uninterrupted sea and mountain views, you can sit for hours, relaxing on the terrace with a glass of wine, watching the yachts and cruise liners glide across the bay, and enjoy the sun setting on the mountains.
Particular advantages compared to other facilities in the Kotor Bay area: larger than average private sunny terrace, large swimming pool, private car-parking, gardens, high standard of furnishing and facilities provided. Muo is tranquil while being next to lively Kotor, and so offers more variety and entertainment than other locations further up the Bay. From your balcony, in Muo you can see the amazing lights that follow the Kotor city walls up the mountain at night.

Kotor Bay – voted one of the top 10 “Most Beautiful Bays in the World” – is a place of “breathtaking natural beauty and historic interest” with picturesque villages and towns dotted along the waterfront. Charming communities, other than Kotor, include Perast, Prcanj and Risan which have been noted for their sea-faring and cultural heritage dating from the Illyrian, Roman, Dalmation, Venetian, Napoleonic and Austro-Hungarian empires.
Prcanj, with its beautiful Zupna church - second only in size to the cathedral in Dubrovnik - is a walk away and less than a 5-minute drive from the apartment (in the opposite direction to Kotor). Stoliv, also a short distance away, offers a small (shingle) beach, tennis courts and other amenities as well as its own charming historic churches and palaces.
The bay has plenty to offer those who want to be active on holiday – fishing, water-skiing, sailing or pleasure boating as well as hilltop walks, rock climbing and hang gliding.
The Adriatic coast offers over 100 sweeping sandy beaches and smaller picturesque coves. At the various beach resorts you can go parasailing, waterskiing and canoeing, go on fishing trips, or take pedalos and coastal boat excursions.
The beaches of the Lustica peninsula are a short drive away as are Tivat and Budva, a lovely walled town with its own beach and marina, while a little further down the coast is the famous island resort of Sveti Stefan, frequented by the rich and famous.
While the coastline is stunning, inland it is even more dramatic. Explore the mountain ranges, ravines, canyons – the impressive Tara River Canyon is the world’s deepest after the Grand Canyon – gorges, forests, birds and wildlife in the extensive national parks.
There is a wealth of outdoor activities here, including white water rafting and canoeing, hang gliding, paragliding, micro lighting, rock and mountain climbing and mountain biking. Or you can take a trip to the beautiful Skadar Lake to watch the water and bird life. The lake is said to contain nearly 50 types of fish and 280 species of birds – half the total to be found in Europe.
Montenegro is separated from Italy by the narrow Adriatic Sea and the coastal region benefits from a pleasant Mediterranean climate, with an average summer temperature of 27°C and an average of 240 days of sunshine each year.

The Kotor / Muo area
Muo itself has its own facilities while the bustling bars, cafes and restaurants of Kotor are only a mile away – a walk along the waterfront or a short bus or taxi ride away (taxis being very cheap here).
Kotor is one of the most exquisitely preserved medieval centres in the Mediterranean – often described as a smaller version of the ancient walled city of Dubrovnic. It has a unique atmosphere with narrow cobbled alleyways opening out onto piazzas with historic palaces, churches, galleries and museums, as well as many cafes, bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Fresh seafood is amongst the local restaurant specialities.
The old town also has a lovely selection of boutique shops, while cultural events include regular music concerts, film, theatre and fashion festivals, seamen’s processions, and a Grand Summer Carnival. As a university town it is a lively social and cultural centre throughout the year. More information is available here: http://www.tokotor.com/engleski/english.html.
The walk from Muo passes a daily fresh food and antiques market and the Kotor marina with its collection of pleasure boats, yachts and the occasional cruise liner. Boat, bus and trips from Kotor can take you to most destinations in Montenegro.
The 12th century city walls climb 200m up the sheer mountain face and, when lit up at night, provide a stunning back-drop to the town which can be seen from the apartment’s terrace.
