We have just returned from Montenegro having stayed 10 days in this property. There were four in our party, two couples. We thought the apartment itself was spacious, bright ,very well furnished and very well presented. There is a separate galley kitchen, fully equipped, but no dishwasher. The bedrooms were large and very nicely furnished too with loads of storage, which is normally a problem I find with holiday apartments. We stayed in one night out of the 10 and were delighted to find a selection of films (English) to choose from and we duly made ourselves comfortable for the evening with our bottle of local wine (great value)! I thought the apartment had a homely feel to it. The area itself is stunning, and what we loved most, as we are keen swimmers was the luxury of being able to get up in the morning, put on our robes and within a minute was straight into the fjord for a swim…what a perfect start to anyone's day. There are a couple of local shops within 3 minutes walking distance, where we found the essentials, (thankfully, globalisation hasn't hit Stoliv as yet). In the evenings, we strolled along the fjord and found several restaurants for dinner. We sat out on the terraces of various restaurants and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The only fly in the ointment was there were works being carried out on the road into Kotor (don't know what they were doing). Locals told us that these works will crease on June 14th , as it seems all works must cease for the tourist season. Kotor is lovely, like a mini Dubrovnik. An old walled town, truly beautiful and UNESCO protected. Also, we visited the Porto Montonegro in Tivat. It was amazing and we dined in Restaurant One, which was excellent. We used the bus service quite a bit, even though we had hired a car, as it was cheap to use and you can catch it anywhere along the fjord. I would highly recommend this apartment and we will definitely be returning to Stoliv and hopefully stay here as it is a great place from which to explore Montenegro. Jacki |

I stayed here with three friends for one week in September 2011.The apartment is very spacious, well equipped& located with direct access to beach within 50 mtrs. Although we had a car we walked several evenings to Kotor enjoying the beautiful scenery. It is a great location from which to tour other areas of Montenegro. There are several very good restaurants close to the apartment.I hope to return to continue exploring this wonderful country. |
