The Coastal Montenegro region

The Boka Kotorska bay is fascinating, providing many miles of driving/walking around the fjord until you reach the Adriatic Sea. Around the fjord are many interesting fishing villages. Along the nearby Adriatic coast are the other old walled towns of Dubrovnic and Budva. The coastline is rugged; scenic and magical.

There are many small beaches from 15 mins by car on Lustica and the Adriatic coast. Many walks in the surrounding mountains

The Boka Kotorska fjord is the southernmost in Europe & affords stunning views from any position around its 50km coastline. Climb the twisting mountain roads high above the fjord for the most dramatic, and even see across to the Adriatic Coast. Montenegro truly is the undiscovered 'Pearl of the Adriatic'. It also boasts a wonderful climate.

The coastline is stunning but inland it is even more beautiful and dramatic. Make a short break (1 or 2 nights away) to explore the best of the mountain ranges, ravines; canyons; gorges; forests; sea; beaches; birds & wildlife. Here there is also a wealth of outdoor activities including white water rafting & canoeing; hanggliding; paragliding; microlighting; rock & mountain climbing; mountain biking; twitching; sailing; snorkeling etc

Kotor

Kotor is a town with UNESCO World Heritage protected walls and buildings many centuries old. Its narrow cobbled streets twist and turn and constantly provide a delight around every corner. It is traffic free and can be both peaceful and lively. Kotor boasts many historical attractions especially the semi circular old wall which is a 'must do'. The town has many lively squares; pubs; cafes and restaurants, and a night scene to keep the young and young at heart contented. Boats trips and watersports can be accessed from Kotor waterfront.

The wonderful Old Town of Kotor is just 1km (10-15 mins walk) round the fjord. The walk takes you past a number of shops; and bars etc.

Both within walking distance and a short drive the area abounds with many excellent restaurants.

A new marina to more than rival Monte Carlo is now open at Tivat, which will cater for the super yachts of super rich celebrities. A golf course will also be opened mid 2011.

Like all others who stay at our apartment - they have found that the apartment is spacious and well equipped and that the views from the balcony (and kitchen and lounge) are second to none!
The balcony is large enough to seat 6 people comfortably - all with the view! - measuring 4.5m x 3.0m.

"Stay in Kotor Montenegro"

The apartment is right next to the Fjord with Marvelous views to Kotor Old town and the mountains beyond. The apartment has absolutly everything that you could think of.It has been totally renovated by the owners. There are 3 bedroom and 2 bathrooms plus a kitchen and large living room.It could comfortably accomadete 6 people. There is terrace outside where you can sit in the morning sunshine and have breakfast. There is a shop downstairs in the building for any essentials and a fruit and veg shop that opens late about 100 metres down the road. The level walk in to Kotor takes less than 10 minutes. There are some local bars next to the lake about 2 minutes away and there are restaurants and bars in the old town and several supermarkets. On the entrance to the Old town near the City wall there is an outdoor produce market.on Saturday mornings it expands into a farmers market and loads of really fresh fruit and veg plus local honey, oil and local wine is on display. There are ample cooking facilities to self cater if you want. But there are so many good restaurants to try both in the town and nearby villages it seems a shame not to try them. This is an excellent base to see the area and even the more distant parts of Montengro are probably possible to do in a day.The near by town of Tivat is about 15 minutes via a tunnel through the mountains and also has some lovely cafes and retaurants as well a modern marina.Lustica peninsula is approx 25 mins ans has beaches and various pretty coves and small hamlets. This is very much like the med used to be 30 years ago.Get there quickly befoe the developers get in.

These guests have summed up what our apartment and its location has to offer perfectly!

"All the places I have seen this summer were pieces of heaven, but definitely for me Kotor is the top choice"

We spent 10 wonderful days in Kotor,in a wonderful scenery. The view you expecience from the apartment's terrace is magnificent at any time of the day, from early morning and also at night, when the golf was bathed in the lights of the town and of the boats. The apartment is divided in a good manner, has all the proper utilities and it is positioned very well.
The owner turned out to be an endless source of information for all our inquiries during our stay and we are left only with the loviest of memories about Kotor and about the apartment.

"Stunning views"

First class property in a great location.Very large rental with lots of space very clean and tidy.During our stay we spent a lot of time eating and drinking on the balcony watching the world go by.A plus i must mention is the small supermarket downstairs (fresh bread every morning) with very friendly staff who are most helpful.Kotor is amazing lots of narrow streets and fine restaurants hope to return in the future.

This review is typical of the great many that we have received in all of our 7 years of renting out our wonderful apartment.
Unfortunately all of these past reviews were removed from the property listing when Holiday Lettings and Trip Advisor came together recently, but we wish to point out that this review fairly reflects the views of all who stay in our well equipped and well located apartment.
