The apartment is on the 6th floor of the newest block in the Marina Court Condominium complex and looks out over the islands of the Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park.
There are bars, restaurants, launderettes, internet cafes, supermarkets and hundreds of shops only minutes walk away. Outside tour operators will pick you up at the door. It is central to any type of holiday you wish to plan for yourself, relaxing on beaches or having a very active day on the beach, climbing Mount Kinabalu, seeing wildlife and rainforests, white water rafting or just absorbing the experience of this diverse cultural region.

The Sabah region
Whilst there are other places in Malaysia you must visit (Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Malacca) only Kota Kinabalu offers the diversity necessary to accommodate all types of visitor and it already has the second busiest airport in Malaysia so all those people can't be wrong! We have beaches to relax on or from which to enjoy a myriad of watersports. Mountains to climb, well a mountain but it is impressive nonetheless and you don't have to climb it just visit the park and enjoy the walks and flora you might even be lucky enough to see the giant Rafflesia flower on the way up. You can see orangutans and proboscis monkeys, take a train up the winding Padas Gorge to Tenom or white water raft down the gorge. Visit some impressive temples and mosques or local markets. Dine at one of the many seafood restaurants in town or wander away from the town centre to discover some remarkably cheap and excellent food. Take a sunset cruise and perhaps watch the sea eagles catching their evening meal. Away from the state capital there are the rainforest reserves of Danum Valley and Maliau, birds nest collecting at Kunak, the world's fifth best diving destination Sipadan Island, Sepilok Orangutan sanctuary.There's just so much to see and do!
Kota Kinabalu area
Within the city area itself food is the main attraction but there is easy access to the islands of the Tungku Abdul Rahman Marine Park where you can swim, snorkel and dive or just relax on the beach. Parasailing, sunset cruises, deep water fishing trips can all be arranged. Visit the chinese temples on Tuaran Road or the City or State mosques. A short taxi ride will take you to the Monsopiad Cultural Village for a display of native tribal customs and artefacts (including the trophies of past headhunters) or to a Crocodile Farm, an Orchid Farm.
How to get there
The apartment is in the city centre only a 5 min drive from the airport. Kota Kinabalu International Airport has direct flights from many asian cities. From Europe there are many carriers to Kuala Lumpur from where direct flights to KK can be taken via the national carrier MAS or budget airline AirAsia. An alternate route from London is via Royal Brunei Airlines which has a connecting flight via Bandar Seri Begawan and is usually the cheapest option. You can also fly Singapore Airlines/Silk Air but this would only be advisable if you also wanted a stop-over in Singapore. We will meet you at the airport and take you to the apartment. There are no international ferry services only a local ferry to Labuan.

Further details indoors: The apartment is fully appointed and air-conditioned with an en-suite master bedroom, double bedroom and a single bedroom (with an extra pull-out bed). There is a lounge cum dining area with a balcony overlooking the pool and a kitchen with a rear utility area for washing and drying. Total area is about 100 sq m.
The en-suite bathroom has shower over bath with wc and sink whereas the family bathroom has a walk-in shower, sink and wc.
All bedding and towels are provided. Gas, water and electricity are included. High quality filtered water is provided at the kitchen sink.
The apartment is served by two lifts and the entire complex is enclosed and has 24 hour security.

The owner's weekend rates apply to: Friday and Saturday nights
NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion. The above includes all gas, electricity and water charges but a refundable damage deposit of £100.00 will be required. The amount for any damages incurred will be deducted from the £100.00 deposit and any balance will be refunded to you.
Terms & Conditions
Except for long term bookings (greater than 1 month) 25% of the total stay is required as deposit at the time of booking.
Full payment of your booking plus the additional £100.00 refundable damage deposit must be received within 30 days prior to your arrival date. For bookings placed within 30 days of arrival date, the total cost must be paid in full at the time of booking.
You may make your payment by bank transfer to an account the details of which will be given at the time. A confirmatory e-mail will be sent as soon as monies are received. All payments must be in Pounds Sterling unless otherwise agreed.
Cancellation of your booking must be made in writing. The following charges will apply:-
31 days or more prior to arrival date: 25% payment of the total stay.
30 days or less prior to arrival date: 100% of full rental payment
Checking – In/Out
Check in will normally be not before 3pm on the day of your arrival and Check out by 11am at the latest on the day of departure. However, due consideration will be given to your flight timings provided sufficient notice is given.
