About the home

Villa Jade's stunning main floor residence is a first class 2 bedroom apartment within our villa Jade. The apartment is set within a truly lovely stone villa only 10 metres from the sea and small beach with magnificent views over the sea and to the mountains in front. Villa Jade is in the lovely bay of Medvinjak and approx only a 15 min scenic coastal walk to the historic walled city of Korcula town.

The apartment is a beautifully finished modern space with marble floors throughout. The main living area is a lovely space, beautifully finished with open plan living and kitchen area that are blended into one with lovely views to the sea. From the living area there are large sliding glass doors leading out to the stone terrace. The master bedroom also has amazing views out over the sea and mountains directly to the front of the villa, there are large glass sliding doors again leading out to the stone terrace. The living/dining area has seating for up to 6 people. The apartment has a beautiful modern fully fitted kitchen with granite work surfaces, Large American fridge freezer, dishwasher etc. Bathroom 1 is a luxury bathroom with jacuzzi bath/shower, toilet and sink with lit dressing mirror. Bathroom 2 is a full wet room with powerful drencher shower, toilet & hand basin with shaving mirror. The apt has SAT T.V, DVD, video & CD players. The apartment has full A/C & central heating throughout. The whole apartment has dimmer switch lighting for a lovely ambiance effect in the evenings.
The main floor apt has a beautiful stone terrace 12m X 2.8m shared between the living room & master bedroom. The terrace is eqiped with table & chairs for 6 + 2 sun beds & drinks table. The views are truly amazing directly to the sea & mountains. Parking is available for two cars.

From the living area and the master bedroom you have stunning views over the sea where you can watch the array of ships and yachts passing by and lovely views to the mountains opposite.
The lounge / living area including kitchen is approx 10m X 5.5m within the living area there is a large corner sofa which converts into 2 single beds for 2 additional guests. There is a 37" flat screen T.V with Sat, video, DVD player. The kitchen is fully fitted with granite work surfaces and breakfast bar with 2 stools. There is a full American fridge freezer with ice/water dispenser etc, full oven and hob, dish washer and sink unit. There is one fully equipped bathroom with jacuzzi bath tub and fixed shower with additional hand held set, built in sink with lit dressing mirror. Bathroom 2 is a wet room with hi pressure drencher shower, toilet and small sink. The master bedroom is fully fitted with wardrobes and dressing table, 2 X bedsides with lamps & lighting control, large glass doors out to the terrace. Bed 2 has double bed, wardrobes, bedsides, dressing table with mirror and lights + small flatscreen T.V. This apartment is the owners personal residence when on the Island and probably one of the best apartments available to rent on the Island of Korcula.

Villa Jade is situated on a small cliff with wonderful sea and mountain views with terraced gardens and a beautiful stone staircase down to the beach where you can relax and swim in crystal clear seas.

Villa Jade has its own boat mooring located on a beautiful stone dock in front of the house.

The Main floor apt has a beautiful stone terrace approx 12m X 2.8m with outside table & chairs for 6 persons, + 2 sun loungers and drinks table. Outside lighting, with additional L.E.D floor lighting for ambiance in the evenings. The views from terrace are absolutely beautiful looking directly over the garden and out across our bay and mountains where you can the most amazing sun rises and boats.

The Dubrovnik Riviera/Islands region

Korcula is the greenest and one of the most beautiful and most interesting of Croatia's 1000 or so Adriatic islands and was said to be a favourite Greek holiday spot over 2000 years ago and the birth place of the great traveller Marco Polo. Korcula old town is described as a mini fortress, a walled city enclosed within honey coloured stone walls that contain a labyrinth of quaint cobbled streets with many architectural delights, art-galleries, lots of lovely shops, restaurants and bars. All this is just a 10 minute scenic walk along the coast from the villa Jade.

The Korcula / Medvinjak area

Various day trips are available by boat to the beautiful ancient walled city for Dubrovnik and the lovely islands of Hvar, Mljet and Lastovo. Things to do include: Local boat hire (licence required)), Scuba diving and local scuba school, wind surfing and various water sports, walking, fishing and bicycle hire

There are two international airports on the Adriatic south coast to choose from for travelling to Korcula.
Split Internaitonal Airport try www.easyjet.com, www.ba.com or www.thomsonfly.com for Dubrovnik International Airport try www.easyjet.com or www.ba.com or www.thomsonfly.com.
On arrival at Split airport there is a regular bus service waiting at arrivals to take you on the 30 minutes journey to the port of Split, or alternatively by the local taxi service. From the port you can take the high speed catamaran or Jadrolinija ferry link. On arrival on the island of Korcula it is just a five minute ride by taxi to Villa Jade in our lovely village of Medvinjak.
On arrival at Dubrovnik airport, you can take the regular bus service or taxi to the port of Dubrovnik where again Catamaran and Jadrolinija ferry line depart to the island of Korcula. Alternatively from Dubrovnik airport it is possible to hire a car and to take the scenic drive along the Adriatic coast road, out along the Peljesac channel.

“lovely apartment in peaceful setting, but near Korcula Town” We stayed in the main floor apartment of Villa Jade and had a lovely relaxing week. It is very comfortable and very well equipped and we loved sitting on the balcony looking out over the bay and watching all kinds of boats sail past. Zeljka is very helpful and keeps the apartments spotless. The walk into Korcula town is only about 20 minutes and the town is beautiful with plenty restaurants. For bookings cancelled within 45 days of arrival no refunds are available. Final cleaning is payable in advance on arrival to key holder. Main floor & attic apt charged at 200 kuna (approx £21) Ground floor 1,2 & lower ground floor apartments charged at 150 kuna (approx £16)
