However, there is more here than just a reminder of other places. This unique villa is nestled in the peaceful Village of Vodovodja overlooking the spectacular Konavle Wine Country. Villa Izvor means Villa of the Natural Spring and it stands over a natural spring well that has flowed here for hundreds of years. The cold clear pure water not only quenches the thirst of the weary traveller, it also heals the spirit. Visitors come from all over the region just to sit by this calming spring and drink its purifying water.
As each guest steps into the villa, they experience the feeling of stepping into a fine European Mansion. However, this mansion has all the amenities of American Style comfort. The villa is furnished with overstuffed sofas, pillow top beds, elegant Persian carpets, and fine European Crystal. The openness and comfort challenges the most over stressed executive not to relax. The Dubrovnik Riviera/Islands region
Dubrovnik is a city that has been around for centuries. It is filled with history and is a very unique town with its own wall all around it. One of the main attractions is to climb the many steps to the top of the wall and walk all around the city. Dubrovnik is warm all summer and lends itself to a great night life. From July 10th through the end of August there is a summer festival of plays. For those who like to explore other places, there are many excursions to the nearby islands.
Konavle area
Konavle is a peaceful wine region about twenty minutes south of Dubrovnik. Visitors can visit the quaint town of Cavtat where there are many restaurants as well as secluded beaches. Further south is the area of Cilipi where one can horseback ride on the beach or visit the local dance festival where the dancers wear their native costumes. About 40 minutes south of Dubrovnik is the border of Montinegro. Visitors to Croatia are welcome to cross and visit the historical cities of Kotor or Budva. Also, just before the border is the small resort town of Molunat where visitors enjoy swimming and other water sports.
How to get there
The actual location of the villa is very close to the border of Montenegro and therefore is about a forty minute drive into Dubrovnik. Therefore, for those who need transportation, we offer a shuttle service at an additional charge. Guests who are interested in tours to Montenegro, Dubrovnik or other parts of Croatia can let us know in advance and we will make all necessary arrangements.

Further details indoors: The living room, dining room and kitchen are all open to each other. For those who enjoy cooking, there is a large kitchen stocked with all the cooking utensils needed to create the finest gourmet meal. There is also a professional propane grill located in the back patio area. However, for those who love to cook a meal over an open wood fire, there is a large stone fireplace where one can cook a steak or barbecue a whole lamb on a spit.
Of course, for those who do not wish to cook, there is catering available from a traditional home-style Croatian Restaurant right across from the villa. For our discerning guests, there are exclusively selected bottled wines which can be purchased at an additional charge. Guests who enjoy a little stronger spirits or fine beers, may put in their requests in advance.
Further details outdoors: Although the ocean is only fifteen minutes away and can easily be seen when sitting on the large front balcony, there is, of course, a large Italian tiled swimming pool. The area that surrounds the pool is also tiled and there is ample space for just sitting in the sun or having a party with a live band. The pool area has been designed to allow each guest to choose their own style of relaxation. This secluded area provides shelter from outside disturbances. Another feature that is currently under construction is a tennis court that will be directly in front of the villa. All in all, this villa truly is "a home away from home." Conditions
There is a 20% deposit for the reservation. The balance is due upon arrival. There is also a 500.00 euro deposit required for cleaning and breakage which will be refunded on the day of departure. The rental price includes all taxes.
