The kitchen is fully equipped, with contemporary blue CaesarStone surfaces, and new appliances. The thatched ceilings in the kitchen are double volume. On the ground level, there is a separate guest toilet and a spacious office with wireless ADSL internet access, as well as a TV lounge with wall-mounted plasma TV screen and satellite channels, leading onto the pool area and garden.

Upstairs is a modern lounge, with thatched ceilings and large custom made leather corner couch, and stunning sea views from every angle. The glass sliding doors lead onto a large deck with outdoor seating, comfortable sun beds and the most spectacular sea views and sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean.

Surrounded by nature and mountains, Kommetjie is a delightful rural village on the Atlantic seaboard with the most spectacular beach with classic views over the Noordhoek and Hout Bay mountains. Kommetjie is conveniently close to Cape Town and is an excellent choice to base yourself to explore Cape Town and surrounds, with a selection of interesting neigbouring heritage and fishermen villages and ample of activities nearby, wonderful sight seeing, nature reserves, beautiful white beaches, exquisite coastal scenery and close to some of Cape Town's major tourist attractions. Kommetjie always has a peaceful atmosphere even in peak holiday season.

A large shopping mall with all amenities including affordable cinema is ten minutes away and Kommetjie is fortunate to have some excellent restaurants in its direct vicinity.

Local attractions:

Visit the tallest cast-iron lighthouse on the South African Coast. Join the lighthouse keeper for a tour to the top offering panoramic views of the coastline.

Kommetjie is one of the best spots for seabird watching. It is part of the fynbos biome and boasts the highest number of plants per square kilometre, an eco paradise including rare and endangered species.

Kommetjie is world famous for surfing events, crayfishing, and long summer nights.

Cape Point Nature Reserve known as "Kaap de Goede Hoop" is a must visit, and the coastal beaches and shipwrecks in the reserve are worth exploring, make a stop on the Ostrich farm on your way.

The penguins at Boulders beach is one of Cape Town's largest tourist attraction, so expect the crowds, nevertheless a must visit.

Simon's Town navy and heritage village and Kalk Bay fishermen village are delightful and boasting with character, with ample of restaurants on the Indian Ocean, whale watching boat trips (whale season), or rent a kayak to visit the penguins.

Noordhoek Farm Village in Noordhoek has some of Cape Town's top restaurants, and family friendly atmosphere like Imhoff farm in Kommetjie, both farms are worth a visit.

Constantia wine route is nearby, with the most pristine wine farms and restaurants, however, also try the local wine tasting in Noordhoek at the Cape Point Vineyards.

Chapman's Peak Drive is one of the worlds most spectacular coastal drives, and Hout Bay village, with the "World of Birds", Sunday market and harbour including the seal island boat trip makes for an exciting visit.

Beautiful golf estates nearby, horse riding on long beach, hiking trails, boat trips ...

And there is so much more to do and to be seen....
