Villa Filira, a deluxe villa in west Crete, is set among rolling olive groves, a short drive from the beautiful city of Chania and just a 5 min drive from the beach and the coastal village of Kolymbari.

The villa was built as the family’s summer house, and it therefore combines high standards with a cosy feel throughout: open spaces and high ceilings, a neutral color scheme with cream tones and soft lines, splashes of design, lots of natural light, shaded outdoor chill-out areas to relax in.

Bright and breezy, the villa offers 3 bedrooms, a large lounge with French windows with fine views of the outdoors, a provencial style fully equipped kitchen, verandas, patios, colorful gardens and a sun-kissed infinity pool and pavilion.

Villa Filira boasts a comfortable layout. Light toned walls and furniture provide a soothing atmosphere. Numerous windows allow plentiful light. Dazzling views can be appreciated throughout the villa.

The open concept living area on the main floor has high ceilings and oak flooring, an impressive fireplace , a comfortable dining room and the villa’s very beautiful and functional kitchen, fully equipped with all modern cons. Light and vistas enter through the floor-to-ceiling windows giving a very airy feel.

The villa has a max capacity of 6 guests, in 3 bedrooms. Our master bedroom is on the ground floor, and has a king size bed, an adjacent bathroom and a large private terrace with furnishings. On the first floor, two more bedrooms are set, one with a queen double and one with two single beds, which can be attached, if for a couple.

Each bedroom has a private veranda, offering lovely views. They have a shareda large bathroom with shower. Beds have quality mattresses and linen. Bathrooms are stocked with organic toiletries, hairdryer, slippers, bathrobes and fresh towels.

The villa is surrounded by a manicured Mediterranean garden; full of lush lawns, flowering plants and local vegetation - it even hosts an organic vegetable garden. The infinity edged heated pool and the children's pool overlook the sea and the countryside. A gazebo is set between the two pools and appears to be floating. The picture is complete with the marvelous pergola covered verandahs, with several al fresco dining and lounge areas, built-in sofas, comfy outdoor furniture and a great BBQ corner.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Roula (the owner) a message.

If Roula (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
