Home description

The construction of this property was completed in April 2008. It is situated on the beautiful and peaceful Klong Nin beach, about half way down the west side of Lanta Island. It is a perfect for a relaxing beach holiday and in 5 star comfort.

The property in fact consists of two buildings, referred to as Living Room Villa and Bedroom Villa. The Living Room Villa faces the ocean, and is only 15 metres (8 of which are taken up by the swimming pool) from the beach. It is a short jump over the garden wall to get onto the beach sands.

The Bedroom Villa is on 2 levels, situated directly behind the Living Room Villa and adjacent to the Klong Nin Beach Road. Both Villas are constructed to high quality standards and in traditional Thai design.

There are a few restaurants within a minutes walk, and for day to day shopping needs, the Klong Nin village is about a 10 minute walk.

The South Thailand / Krabi region

The weather here is generally hot all year round. It cools slightly in December and January, which is the busiest time for tourism. It is referred to as the peak season and the price of accommodation goes up accordingly.

The months of November and February through to end April are also very popular and the weather is usually very good. From May to October it sometimes rains a lot, there is not a lot of tourism, many places close down, and for those that stay accommodation is much cheaper.

Please note, sometimes during the low season (depending on wind direction) sheet netting is put up onto the beach wall to protect the property from sand blown up from the beach. This does not prevent easy access to the beach but may spoil the ocean view. If netting has been put up then, if you wish, you may request for the netting to be taken down, which will not be a problem so long as there are no strong winds blowing sand onto the property from the beach.


Koh Lanta Island / Klong Nin Beach area

The main reason people come to Lanta for a holiday is because it is relatively peaceful, it retains its original Thai charm, and has some stunning beaches. You are unlikely to ever feel crowded out by other tourists in Lanta.

There are hundreds of restaurants and bars, many of them right on the beach

There are many beautiful islands in the area, and it is easy to join boat trip tours to see them. There are some very good dive sites nearby, and great swimming and snorkelling too.

Non-beach activities include elephant trekking or a trip to see some monkeys. Sites to visit include a National Park, Lighthouse, Waterfall, and Cave. It is worth a trip to visit the Lanta Old Town, and you can also visit a sea gypsy village.

Koh Lanta is not the easiest island to get to, which may account for its unspoilt beauty.

The nearest airport is at Krabi. There are many cheap flights (around £40 per person) from Bangkok each day. Otherwise, you can get cheap flights to Krabi airport from Kuala Lumpur. You can also get to Koh Lanta from Phuket.

The ferry from Phuket takes around 3 hours, although you will also have to take a 30 min taxi from the airport to the ferry port. There is a cheap bus from Phuket which takes around 5 hours.

The road journey from Krabi airport to the villa in Koh Lanta involves two short ferry crossings, and will take between 2 and 3 hours, depending on ferry waiting times.

A bus service is available, which, if booked, will collect from the airport and take you to the villa, and only costs about £4 per person. If not pre-booked you can take a bus into Krabi centre and take the Lanta bus from there. Or, a taxi can be hired for about £45. The fastest way is by VIP air con pick-up car which can be arranged with the owner for 2,500 baht (about £50).There is also a ferry service and a speed boat service directly from Krabi to Koh Lanta. Alternatively, car hire is available from Krabi airport (3 reputable companies).

The Bedroom Villa contains 2 en-suite bedrooms, each with separate entrances (there is no internal connection between the two bedrooms). Both bedrooms have air con, king size beds, fitted wardrobes, and en-suite bath and shower rooms. The upstairs bedroom also includes balcony with sea view, Sony LCD TV and DVD player, and refrigerator. The downstairs bedroom is larger and also includes TV and DVD player..

If required there is also a Cradle/Cot in the downstairs wardrobe, measuring 20 x 112.5 x 81.5cm.

The swimming pool is 8m x 3m, with jacuzzi and underwater lighting. The tropical garden includes an enclosed garden area out with outdoor shower, grassed area, a Sala (sheltered sitting area), loungers (with parasol), table and chairs, and a small underlit water fountain.

There is a parking area which can be locked from the road. There are 4 external CCTV cameras which can be viewed from the living room TV.

If only one bedroom is required then a 10% discount off the rental price will be applied. In this case, you will still enjoy full and exclusive use of the Living Room Villa and outdoor facilities.

If more than 2 bedrooms are required, then please enquire for further details, as it may also be possible to rent the neighbouring Villa, which has similar facilities, subject to joint availability. But please note that rental rates will be not less than twice the rental rates specified for this Villa.
