The villa is furnished to a very high European standard with hand made teak furniture throughout. A beautiful glass walled terrace can be found upstairs.

Alfresco dining? No problem! Relax with your food and drinks on the terrace and take in the stunning ocean views and beautiful tropical sunset.

Take in the exquisite smell of the Frangipani trees while enjoying the crystal clear water of the sea.

There is a restaurant just 100m away where you can enjoy great food, drinks, and after a long day relaxing in the sun, a massage. A beautiful infinity pool on the resort finishes it off just nicely!

The East Thailand region

Thailand's eastern coastal strip runs from just east of Bangkok all the way down to the Cambodian frontier at Hat Lek. The area encompasses the coastal provinces of Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat, and the further you go from Bangkok the better the beaches get.

The vast majority of budget travellers find themselves in this part of Thailand for the Ko Chang archipelago off the coast of Trat, or they're headed for the international border crossing with Cambodia at Hat Lek/Ko Kong. All three of these are fine reasons to be in the area, but as is often the case, there's more to see and do than just that.

Not far from Ko Samet, there's the very little-known Ko Mun Nork. Home to a single resort, if you're looking for no crowds and empty beaches, you could do a lot worse than here. Go on a weekday and you'll probably have the island to yourself.

The Ko Chang Archipelago is comprised of almost 50 islands -- a handful of which have accommodation on them. Don't make the mistake of just staying on Ko Chang -- there's a lot more around. Other favourites include the tiny Ko Kham, the slightly larger Ko Wai and Ko Maak and -- perhaps one of Thailand's last island frontiers, Ko Kut.

After all those beaches, don't forget Chanthaburi -- the long overlooked fourth province in this region. A quaint provincial capital with some pleasant waterfalls and national parks -- and next to no tourists -- quite a refreshing feel after the well touristed islands.

Koh Chang

Swim at Chang Noi Beach

Lay sunbathing, take a swim, build a sand castle, gather shells or play the pétanque. The beach is shallow and safe without currents or jellyfishes. You may consider the forces of nature when the tide is moving up and down. It is always possible to swim although you may walk a bit further out at low tide.

Snorkeling & Diving

Best season for diving is from October to April. The best spots are between Koh Chang and Koh Kood. There are many companies that arrange diving courses and dive trips, most of them from Bang Bao.

Water Sports

Enjoy the water by kayaking around Chang Noi Beach, take a speedboat to the islands south of Koh Chang or sail among the 40 islands surrounding Koh Chang.

Massage and Spa

On Chang Noi Beach is a spa where you can relax with a massage, manicure and pedicure.

At Salak Peth is a genuine fishing village that you should not miss. You can follow the morning fishing or rent a boat and make your own fishing trip.

A 9-holes Pitch & Putt golf course is situated at Siam Royal View (Chang Noi Beach). A perfect opportunity to practice your pitch and putt for new as well as experienced golfers. Not long from Chang Noi Beach is a driving range where you can keep your drives in good shape.

Riding the elephant

A few miles from Chang Noi Beach is an elephant camp. Take a ride, swim with the elephants in Klong Son River and accomplish with feeding the elephants with bananas.

In the two nice restaurants on Chang Noi Beach can get everything from breakfast to dinner. In Klong Son 2 km away there are some genuine Thai restaurants where you get both cheap and tasty food. Our favorite is called BluesBlues and they serve food all day long. In White Sand Beach and the villages further south are lots of nice restaurants. It's easy to find a restaurant that suits your taste.

You can go shopping in small shops along almost the entire west coast of Koh Chang. At the roads you will encounter many markets with clothes and fruit. White Sand Beach and Khlong Prao are the two largest shopping centers.

Koh Chang is a nature reserve with up to 744 meters high mountains. You can do half or full day tours through an exciting landscape with spectacular views. Take a swim in the waterfalls as a refreshing finish. Between December and May there is tiny water in the waterfalls.

The best night life you will find in White Sand Beach, 15 minutes by car from Chang Noi Beach. You have a great selection from cosy bars to luxury restaurants.

"Total paradise, nowhere else I have ever been lives up to this place."

I heard of Peanut Villa from a friend. They told me how beautiful it was so I booked a holiday here. What an experience! It is so beautiful. Right on the beach, so close in fact that the garden grass stops where the sand begins!
The villa is very spacious and so lovely inside. All the furniture and fittings are high quality and look beautiful in their arrangement.
We could dine on the terrace and watch the sun set directly in front of the house slipping behind a small island on the final few minutes of its journey. It is so picturesque.
The manager of the house met us on our arrival and gave us the keys and showed us was all very easy.
The maids came every other day to change/make the beds and clean the villa from top to bottom. they were unobtrusive and smiled the whole time.
The big swimming pool is warm and very clean and only a little way from the villa, maybe one minute walk, and has just a few sunbeds around it. The whole place is not at all crowded and virtually unspoilt. The design is very intelligent.
There is a restaurant on the resort with magnificent views across the bay. The food here is good and they have both International and Thai dishes. there is something for everyone.
What I especially liked was the fact that the water in the bay was so shallow for such a long way pout that it was perfectly safe for our young children.
Koh Chang is a lovely island with so much we could do. I would recommend renting a car unless you are happy to just have a motorbike.
Would I come back to Peanut Villa?

Thank you so much for your review! I am so glad you enjoyed your stay at Peanut Villa and have taken the time to review it. Thank you.
