Half Moon House is found just a stones throw from a beautiful crescent shaped, sandy beach on the award winning, and sympathetically designed resort of Koh Chang which is a Marine National Park island in the province of Trat, Thailand.
Ideal for those looking for a luxurious setting with the comforts of home and the peace of mind afforded by self-catering; our aim is that your holiday offers you the relaxation that it should in such a lovely environment with its beach and tropical forest mountain views that will make you wish to return again, and again.
Half Moon House is designed in a contemporary Thai style (no high rise hotels thanks to the islands National Park status), surrounded by its own landscaped gardens and the interior is equally fitted out to appeal to those who like the conveniences of contemporary living.
Located in an exclusive bay development on Koh Chang island it has easy access to the ferry point which links you directly to the Thai mainland and your transfer to Bangkok for flights. The resort is full of natural native flora and fauna, whilst also being surrounded by sea and panoramic views of the mountains.
For those of you who want to venture away a little from the resort itself and get a sense of how friendly and sociable the island is, the largest and most popular White Sands beach area is situated about 10 minutes away by local taxi, bike, or car where many bars, restaurants, and evening entertainment can be found, mostly along the beach itself. Over the last 5 years, White Sands has expanded to cater for almost every type of holiday maker, so there should be something for everyone.

The living room and open plan kitchen is kitted out as the indoor communal space for relaxing and winding down after a long day enjoying the beach, venturing into the mountains, diving or sampling what's on offer down at White Sands. The room has a contemporary feel with marble flooring and carved teak doors to keep the room lovely and cool so that you can sit and enjoy watching movies on the high definition TV, keep in touch with friends and family by sending them photos to make them jealous using the free WiFi or simply chat whilst preparing dinner. Or of course you can just be lost in thought whilst looking out to the landscaped garden through the picture window.
Located open plan to the lounge area, a modern fully fitted kitchen with granite surfaces, and incorporating a granite breakfast bar. All integrated appliances, sink, electric hob with extractor hood above, eye-level double oven/grill, American style fridge/ freezer all at hand. Microwave, toaster, coffee machine also included (washing service available on request).
Bedroom 1 is located on the ground floor and has a king sized bed and a set of built-in bunk beds, BluRay system & high definition TV, air-conditioning, under bed storage, and benefits from an en-suite bathroom which is fully tiled, with walk-in electric shower and Jack & Jill sinks.
Bedrooms 2 & 3 are located on the first floor and both have walk out balconies where you can enjoy your breakfast or an evening drink overlooking the gardens and palm trees. Both bedrooms come complete with double beds and their own en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, BluRay & TV systems, and fridges.
We just added a 4th bedroom!! Bedroom 4 is a double and found on the ground floor of the annexed building to the main villa and has it's own separate shower and toilet facilities.
There are three fully tiled fitted bathrooms that are en-suite to the three bedrooms of the main villa. A separate toilet and shower room for bedroom 4 is found just outside the bedroom itself.
The landscaped gardens surround the house and are abundant with native plants, trees, fruit trees and a couple of small ponds. It has an outside dining area for up to 8 people, it's own bar and entertainment area, a tree hung hammock and a shaded sala for those who wish to take some shade from the sun, or alternatively, during the day it's just a skip and a hop to the beach to take a dip in the crystal clear sea or communal pool. The choice is yours.
Restaurant Club House, water sports centre for diving and/or fishing, large infinity communal swimming pool and changing areas, beach bar, Marina pub and sports bar, beach massage, free shuttle service throughout the resort.
A professional 9 hole reversible Par 3 pitch and putt golf course on the resort, clubs available for hire with golf bag and balls etc from the golf club house coffee shop.
Kayaking, idyllic waterfalls, swim with the elephants after a trek, water sports, deep sea fishing and diving can all be found locally. paddle boarding, snorkeling, boat trips, island hopping.
Please note: There is a damage deposit of 10,000 Thai Bhat (circa £190) payable on check-in - this is fully refundable on departure if there is no damage to the property or it's contents (Apologies that this is necessary, but other people on the island have had serious damage caused to their properties in the past...we know it's a small minority, but best to be safe than sorry).
Electricity and Water usage is charged as follows:-
Electric is 4 Thai Bhat per kw
Water is 80 Thai Bhat per cubic metre.
Meter readings will be taken at the beginning and end of each stay so that you know exactly what you are being charged for.
