Bamboo Villa - Awe-inspiring tranquility, that's what it feels like to stay in our beautifully designed eco home built by local craftsmen, It has sea view and all the facilities. You will find the Bamboo villa suitably cool inside. Veranda with chairs and table. Air condition-Bedroom (with en-suite), fitted with bamboo blinds throughout and teak wood furniture/wardrobe/dressing mirror. En-suite bathroom to bedroom-tiled with WC, hand wash basin/mirror,shower/water heater.
Open plan kitchen/dining and living area-kitchen fully equipped with Stainless steel 2 burner gas hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, bamboo worktops, flooring-bamboo tiles. Also provided utensils, cutlery crockery, iron/ironing board. Fully furnished living/dining area, cable LCD TV, modern teak furniture, dining table /cushioned dining stools and ceiling fans.
Welcome pack will be provided. Towels and linen will be provided, changed once weekly. Housekeeping service provided once weekly.. The villa has a unique position, watch the sunset and sunrise from your very own verandha. This is truly one of the most beautiful sandy beach in Kerala, watch the fishermen bring in their daily catch, it is very calm and ideal for swimming and you can spot Dolphins. Cherai is a typical Kerala village and is well known for a variety of locally caught fresh sea food. Village shop and restaurants are within walking distance.
Cochin international airport is 35 mins away. You can hire bikes/car/boat, also overnight trip on a house boat and trips to the wild life sanctuary, spice plantations, elephant rides are recommended (transport can be arranged for sightseeing). ATMs, pharmacy, supermarket, post office, banks and other local shops are about 3km away at the nearby Cherai town. Car with driver and scooter available, charges payable locally. Cochin city is 30kms away, there you may be interested in visiting the following places: the Chinese fishing nets - watch the fishermen bring in their catch. Here you can buy fresh sea food and have them cooked for you to your liking. There are fabulous shops at Fort Cochin and Ernakulam.
Jewtown - the synagogue dates back to the 17th century, here there are numerous antique shops selling Indian handicrafts/arts and curios, it is one of the most spectacular sights in the whole region of Kerala and is certainly worth a visit.
St Francis Church - The only Protestant church in the southern Indian region was built in 1510 by the Portuguese.
Willingdon Island - It is a beautiful man made island.
Vypeen and Gundu islands - offer tourists the chance for a day's outing with daily ferry shuttles from Fort Cochin. Vypeen Island is home to the port's main lighthouse.
A short trip across the tiny Gundu island offers a glimpse at the production process of the coir factory, where coconut fibre is utilised in the production of doormats.
Nearby Palliport fort - This is a ruin dating back to the 16th century.
Overnight trips on the houseboat, trips to the Thekady - Periyar wild life Sanctuary, Munnar spice plantations and Elephant rides are very popular.Accomodation at Thekady, Munnar and houseboat in Alleppy can be arranged. Car/driver available for any trips/sightseeing.
Have a relaxing Ayurvedic massage at the nearby Ayurvedic centre, manned by experienced masseurs. Alternatively you might want to just relax on the beach or try out some traditional Kerala food on Cherai beach road, there are some excellent cafes beer parlours and restaurants, they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner at a very reasonable price.
Boats are also available for hire. You can also hire a Scooter/bike to get a glimpse of a typical Kerala village, visit the harbour to buy some fresh catch of the day. You can also visit the beautiful local markets, temples and churches.

"Authentic Indian bamboo villa experience"
Neat and compact accomodation with all the requirements to give a confortable and pleasant stay in an interesting location with lovely views of the sea and the backwaters.
