About the home

Located on Thesen Island which has its own beach, this villa has 5/6 Bedrooms all with balconies( upstairs TV lounge can be used as additional bedroom) which includes a separate flatlet. Large open plan lounge, dining-room and kitchen. Large bedrooms and 4 1/2 bathrooms(2 en suite).With its prime location facing out onto the lagoon this magnificent property has stunning views, privacy and a lovely al fresco dining & entertainment area with barbecue.

Own private jetty. Tennis, squash, beach, right on lagoon,in fact you can fish from the main deck or jetty. Walking distance to town and a short distance from 3 exceptional golf courses. Can be fully serviced for an additional amount on request. Each of the bedrooms in the main house can comfortably sleep 2 and the flatlet has a double bed with 2 bunk beds to comfortably accommodate a family of 4.

Satellite televisions, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer as well as a large deep freeze and separate bar fridges all make for an easy self-catering holiday. Ideal for whole family.

Giant exotic trees such as Stinkwoods, Yellowoods &Milkwoods cover the lagoons banks .Long considered South Africas lake district the Garden route and Knysna is known as South Africas playground to the wealthy,the quaint town is nestled between the forested hills &the lagoon,offering excellent amenities such as shopping, curios, fantastic golf courses (some of the best in SA) helicopter trips horse riding lagoon booze cruising, deep sea fishing & tours to nearby Oudtshoorn where one can visit the world famous Cango Wildlife Ranch and indulge in some cheetah touching or croc cage diving as well as visiting an ostrich farm and the renowned Cango Caves.

George Airport is the closest airport and is approximately 60km's away - about an hours drive. You are able to fly in from Cape Town or Johannesburg International airports but it is also a beautiful drive if you hire a car from Cape Town and drive along the N2 (approximately 7 hours from Cape Town).

Flights are available from www.flysaa.com or www.kulula.com or www.1time.co.za and all the well known car hire companies are representated at Cape Town airport, Budget car hire probably being the cheapest. Be sure to compare all airline prices as they differ from time to time and you can pick up some good prices if you book ahead.

The domestic service you arranged on our behalf was wonderful as they knew the house, which made it easier for us. The booklet you left with all the operation manuals for the various equipment was most helpful. The kids loved being right on the lagoon and we had a really relaxed and awesome time.
