About the home

A three bedroomed villa overlooking Knysna golf club with spectacular views of the Lagoon. The villa is located in a secure gated environment with a garage for one car and hardstanding for two cars.
The villa is on three levels and is entered on the top level where the master en-suite bedroom is down a private corridor to the left.. A television room is also on this level with french doors opening to the upper terrace,an ideal place to watch the sun go down and naturally taste your sundowners. The sunsets have to be seen to be believed.
The staircase , decorated with African animal hangings , leads to the main lounge, inside dining room , kitchen and utility room with doors from the lounge opening onto a large terrace ideal for dining and using the braai.
Just round the corner is the first of the twin bedded bedrooms with a further staircase leading to the lowest level where the second twin bedded room overlooks the garden .These bedrooms share the shower room on the lowest level.

The master bedroom on the top floor has spectacular views over the Lagoon and leads onto the terrace which has chairs and loungers. The villa is furnished to a high standard by an interior designer and has many original paintings and prints on the walls. Also the house has African hangings and animal skins on a number of the floors and staircases. Dining out on the terrace in the evenings is a delightful experience. Steps lead from this terrace to the surrounding garden which is well maintained by our gardeners all year round..

The villa is in a secure gated community with entrance by remote control. There is a single garage and hardstanding for two cars. The house is built in an attractive Tuscan style , in keeping with the rest of Forest Gardens ,surrounded by a mature garden with fruit trees which is well maintained by the owners and local gardeners. There is a Barbecue for guests' use.

Minimum 3 night let on a pro rata weekly basis. Longer lets welcome.

Conditions

Full payment up front for lettings of one week or less plus deposit of £50 repayable within seven days. 50% deposit for longer bookings with final 50% at least four weeks before occupation.
Local agents hold keys and remote controls for all lets.

Knysna is one of the central points of the beautiful Garden Route with a wide variety of activities either close by or within 30 minutes drive. The scenery covers everything from majestic mountains to verdant forests and coastal strip. Many wonderful beaches with the warm Indian Ocean to swim in.

The villa is in an ideal location for a family holiday or for golfing enthusiasts who will be able to play championship golf courses close by (Pezula and Simola) plus other excellent golf courses nearby - Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, Goose Valley and George. There are also excellent spa and gym facilities at Pezula and Simola and beauty treatments for those wishing to be pampered.

We dine in a dozen different and excellent restaurants within ten minutes drive of our house - all costing less than half the price of a typical UK restaurant. There is a wide range of activities either in Knysna or close by including sailing, fishing, golf, forest walks, beach walks, cycling and many other attractions detailed in the local guides - see www.knysna.co.za for more details.

George is the nearest internal airport and is one hours drive from Knysna. Direct internal flights from Johannesburg, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Durban. Alternatively pick up a hire car at Cape Town Airport for a 5 hour drive to Knysna with the last part being along the beautifully Garden Route. All the usual hire car companies including Avis, Europcar and Hertz.
