The Western Cape region
Knysna is the heart of the gardenroute. On one side the ocean on the other one lakes, forest and green mountains,
a lot of attractions, friendly people and wonderful weather.
The Knysna lagoon has a size of 18qKM. You can do all sort of watersports. There are 2 beaches in the lagoon, one on
Leasure Isle, the other at Cony Glendirectly at the Heads.
To reach the ocean you have to drive around the lagoon to Buffalo Bay or Brenton on Sea.
Knysna has the biggest remaining forest in south Africa. If you like to hike or mountain bike you will find a paradise.
All of our area has become National Park but most famous ate our golf courses. Knysna has 3 of them, 2 - Pezula and Simola -
on international level.
There are lots of attractions in the surrounding:
Knysna Elephant Park, birds park, radical reptors, Teniqua (all cats from South Africa including a leopard and 2 yeetahs),
monkey park, adventure land, whale and dolphine watchings, game drives, horse riding, paragliding, bungee jumps and a bit
more far away the canopy tours in Storms River Village.
But Knysna is also big enough that you can do all your shoppings here.
