About the home

Taliesin sleeps twelve adults in luxury. It has many decks to relax and take in the stunning views. Heaven for the bird watcher as it is steps from the bird reserve. Feeling energetic you can swim in the heated 10m pool or the safe waterways. As it is steps from the beach you could swim there.
A daily house keeper looks after the house and you so this is a real holiday for all!
It has been designed to make the most of the Knysna light and breezes with many windows and high full hieght ceilings.
The area is stunning and there are many things and places to explore.

Taliesin can either be rented out as a six or four bedroom house depending on the beds needed. There is also a two bedroom apartment which is rented out when the house is vacant. This makes it a very special apartment as it has the sole use of the gardens, decks & pool of the main house. All the beds & linen are of a very high standard so you will get a great nights sleep. There are many restaurants in the area. The small island boasts three.

Parking is in an automated garage. There is room for two cars. Taliesin has it's own boat dock. If you don't have a boat it is great to fish off. The island being private is very secure and you will see many children cycling around without the adults. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained.

There is wheelchair access to the ground floor, where there is one large bedroom.
The apartment can sleep upto four. The four bedroom house upto eight and the main house twelve.

Conditions

Smoking is allowed on the balconies.
On booking 30% deposit is required.
The final amount is payable three weeks before rental period.

If you are visiting from abroad there are many flights from major international cities to either Johanesburg or Cape Town. Catch one of the many connecting domestic flights to George. George Airport is under an hours drive from Knysna. Spectacular views on the way.
Alternatively you could drive from Cape Town. This will take you a morning or afternoon. It is a pleasant route through beautiful country side.

“Magnificant House” Thank you for an unforgettable holiday experience at Taliesin. I am certain the family will treasure it for a long time. This house was perfect for our large family. From the reception at the security gate to the daily housekeeping service was excellent. Taliesin was perfectly situated for all our holiday requirements. A short drive daily took us to all the tourist hotspots in the Knysna region.

“Most wonderful house in Knysna” A perfect stay: friendly welcome, house is in a very quiet location, but near enough to shops and restaurants. Its very stylish decorated and offers so many lounges inside and outside. The maid is very kind. A big table accommodates up to twelve guests.The views from all rooms and decks are so beautiful. The garage offers space for two cars. Internet connection is fast and easy to handle. We'd love to come back.

“What an amazing house with great views of the heads” Taliesin is a beautiful house with a great view. The security is excellent, the house is very clean. Everything about this place is perfect. I would definately recommend and will sure visit again. The owner and the manager are really great and help.. What an awesome and gorgeous place. We really have a great time there.
