The cottage has two cosy double rooms, wood fired central heating and modern facilities for your comfort, whilst retaining original features including oak beams and low ceilings!

The Powys / Brecon Beacons / Powys region
The old county of Radnorshire makes up part of modern day Powys, local towns are Knighton and Presteigne, each a few minutes away by car. The village is a perfect base to explore the local area.
The Greyhound Pub is a couple of minutes walk from the cottage, offering a friendly welcome to our guests and some excellent local real ales. Offa's Dyke footpath runs thorugh nearby Knighton and Glyndwr's Way runs literally past the cottage. There are also many local walks up into the hills.
The Knighton / Llangunllo area
The Offa's Dyke Centre in Knighton provides excellent infomation for walkers and is an excellent starting point.
Other attractions include the SpaceGuard Centre and the famous Red Kite Feeding centre as well as the Elan Valley dams some 40 minutes away neat Rhyader.
The towns of Presteigne and Ludlow are nearby offering excellent locally produced food and drink.

Most guests arrive by car, although we're in a very rural location in the welsh hills, The Little Cottage is only an hour from Shrewsbury or Hereford. There is a train station serving Llangunllo however it's about a mile and a half from the village. If you're departing from Llangunllo (spelled Llangynllo in welsh) please be aware you'll need platform 1 (our little joke!)

Guestbook for The Little Cottage
This is the 5th or 6th time in Wales, but what a find! 'The Little Cottage' is the most idyllic place, full of character like 'a little dolls house'!
The children and the dogs had a great time with long walks and fresh air. The weather's been fantastic, and we enjoyed having our dinners in the lovely garden! Thank you for a perfect tranquil setting for a perfect holiday!
Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our too short a stay at The Little Cottage.
Back safe and sound from the land of Wales. The cottage was so lovely - we had a really fantastic weekend. You've got a beautiful spot there and this morning as we drank our coffee and watched the sheep being herded on the hill side we really did think ourselves lucky.

The weather is fine over here but to be honest it could bucket down and it wouldn't be a negative thing as I'm absolutely in my element many thanks!

Payments
Normal payment terms are: 50% booking deposit, with balance paid 4 weeks prior to your stay. Last minute breaks are charged in full on booking. Payment can be by cheque or bank transfer - full details will be emailed when we accept your booking request.
