About the home

Promised land lodge is on a private ground of almost 2 hectares with tropical garden facing the sea. We have 8 bungalows with the view to the ocean,a beach bar,a restaurant where you can taste zanzibari spice dishes.
On the beach there is a volley ball court,hammocks,beach beds and a fire place to watch the stars while drinking your cold drink. Kizimkazi village has got much nature and activities to offer. Take a boat trip to one of the best island for snorkelling in Zanzibar or to the sand bank for a picnic day trip and swimm with the dolphins. Ride a 20mins bike to the oldest east african mosque. Take a 30mins drive to the Jozani forest to see the rare species of red colobus monkeys. Drive 1hr to Zanzibar town for a spice tour or a shopping day...

There is an english speaking representative/ helper to make sure you have a present stay and a gaderner due to the size ot the land.. We can pick you up at the airport and help you to arrange other tours around Zanzibar. We have bar and a restaurant infront of the beach for our guests.

The Zanzibar region

Zanzibar is still the best-kept secret in the Indian ocean with it's fascinating historical town and magnificent 25 beaches. The island is 86km long and 39km wide.Zanzibar town is old historical,cultural town with little change in the last 200 years. bizzy bazaars, historical buildings with curved doors, restaurants and bars.

It takes one hour from the villa to stone town and the road is newly build all the way to kizimkazi . Zanzibar experiences ideal weather for most of the year.being near to the equator the island are warm throughout the year.

Zanzibar is blessed on average sun of 8 to 9 hours sun every day.other tours are spice tour, town tour , prison island tour, diving,snorkelling,fishing.......

The Kizimkazi area

Kizimkazi is a beautiful friendly fishing village which is best known for swimming wíth the dolphins, located in the south point of Zanzibar. The village is a home for several school of bottled- nosed dolphins which can be sighted with a dolphin trip ,fishing trips,snorkelling trips,day picnic trips to the sandbank and dive center is available in the village .it takes 15 minutes walk to the village where you will be able to meet and experience the live of the villagers and their surroundings.
The 12th centuary kizimkazi mosque may be the oldest building in east african coast which is located 3 km from lodge. 15 km from the lodge, you will find a indigenous forest that once covert the central part of the island which has been under protection since1952. here can you see the famous red colobus monkeys.

You can fly directly to Zanzibar airport , 50km to the villa from the airport.you kan fly with KLM, Kenya air ways, or Ethiopian airways. There are 5 big speed boat companies that run to Zanzibar from Dar es salaam, the capital of Tanzania. the journey takes 2 hours for about 30Usd. There are so many private taxis for about 50usd to the lodge. for cheap transport, you can take local sharing taxes from stone town or you kan hire a car for about 40 usd per day.It takes 1hr From Zanzibar stone town or from the airport to kizimkazi dolhpine village where the villa is located and the road is very good.
