Home description

This luxury second floor penthouse is on the distinguished Orange Grove development, a small complex of just 36 apartments with a private gated communal pool, undercover parking and lift access. The apartment has been stylishly furnished and offers very comfortable self catering accommodation for up to four guests.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed and benefits from an en-suite shower room with WC. The second bedroom has modern twin beds. Both bedrooms are spacious with plenty of wardrobe space, bed-side cabinets and reading lamps. The property also enjoys a separate modern family bathroom with bath, sink and WC.

The modern fully equipped kitchen has oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. In the lounge area there is a large contemporary corner sofa, coffee table, TV and DVD player (CDs, DVDs and games are provided for your entertainment). From the open plan kitchen/lounge area there are two patio doors leading out onto a large private balcony where guests can enjoy alfresco dining, sun bathing and spectacular sunset views.

Orange Grove is located in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of the traditional village of Kiti. The situation is ideal for couples or families seeking a peaceful relaxing holiday, yet still within close reach by car of the local beaches and the lively town of Larnaca. It is also an ideal base for those wishing to explore the island of Cyprus.

The Larnaca District

Larnaca town is just a 15 minute drive from the apartment. It has a mix of the old and new, from traditional winding back streets to modern shops, restaurants and a Cineplex showing films in English. Most visitors prefer to stroll along the stylish palm-lined promenade and indulge in some people watching at one of the many café terraces or restaurants. The marina offers a variety of local cruises (the romantic sunset cruise is a must) while the sandy beach, stretching the length of the promenade from the marina to the old Fort, provides a wide range of water sports. Alternatively you can combine sunbathing and plane spotting on nearby Makenzie beach. For the more adventurous, there is scuba diving on the Zenobia Wreck.

Larnaca salt lake is one of the most important habitats in Europe for water fowl and is famous for migrating flamingos in the months of Jan-March. In cooler months the Larnaca district, with its relatively flat terrain and uncongested roads / farm tracks, is also great for leisure cyclists. Stavrovouni monastery, dramatically perched on the peak of a mountain top, is just a 30 minute drive away and provides magnificent views over the Larnaca district. The hills in this area are dotted with picturesque villages like Lefkara, famous for its local lace and filigree silver ware.

Larnaca is also conveniently located for exploring the south-eastern extremity of Cyprus which boasts some of the best beaches on the island, including Fig Tree and Konnos bay. The water-park at Ayia Napa is only a 40 minute drive. Larnaka’s west cost is mainly undeveloped pebble beaches with some tiny sandy bays. A trip to the Troodos mountains (1hr 30 minutes) provides a refreshing break from the heat of the coast. Here you can take a walk along one of the many nature trails, enjoy panoramic views of the island and rest at one of the many picnic sites. In winter you can even ski! The capital of the island, Nicosia, is only 1 hour by road and here you can cross the “Green Line” into the Turkish occupied northern part of the city.


Kiti area

Orange Grove is located in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of the traditional and cultural village of Kiti. The villagers are friendly and helpful with most speaking very good English. The nearest convenience store is only a 5 minute stroll and the village centre a further 10 minutes. Here you will find a wide range of amenities including two banks (one with ATM), pharmacy, 2 bakeries, mini-markets, a petrol station, an internet café and a good choice of tavernas, restaurants, bars and take-away facilities. A further selection of restaurants can be found in the neighbouring village of Pervolia (5 minute drive, 30 minute walk) along with scooter and quad-bike hire.

Local places of interest include Angeloktisti church with its rare 6th century Byzantine mosaics, Cape Kiti lighthouse and the camel park at Mazotos. The local beaches vary from the blue-flag sandy beach at Faros with water sports, toilet facilities and a small snack bar to the pebble beach at Meneou, which is popular with local wind-surfers. The rest of the coastline around Kiti point is undeveloped and ideal for sunbathing away from the crowds. The B4 coast road takes you to the traditional fishing village of Zigi where a good selection of fish tavernas can be found.

The Kiti area is ideal for couples or families seeking a peaceful relaxing holiday, yet still within close reach by car of the local beaches and the lively town of Larnaca. It is also an ideal base for those wishing to explore the island of Cyprus.
