Kissimmee / Windsor Palms area
Situated only fifteen minutes from the gates of Disneyworld, International Drive & an abundance of local supermarkets, shops and restaurants. Twenty minutes from Orlando International Airport & 50 minutes from the white sandy beaches. For Golf lovers Mystic Dunes Championship Course is only minutes away (discount for Windsor Palms residents).
An alternative to a hectic day is a visit to Blue Spring State Park. An attractive wooded park on the banks of the St Johns River which is the best place to see Manatees in central Florida Turquoise blue water where the manatees come between October to March as the water is 72 degrees. There are boats and kayaks for rent. This is a very inexpensive day out with only a minimum charge for parking. 45 minutes from the Villa.
Winter Park is an attractive upmarket town with boutiques, cafes, restaurants and shops. A lake with boat rides will take you around to see the wild life and interesting homes on the lake shore just 35 minutes from the Villa.
The town of Celebration is 10 minutes away from the Villa with shops and beautiful restaurants, lake and nature trail. From November to Christmas the town is spectacular with artificial snow.
In old town Kissimmee you can spend an evening of fun with classic cars and motorbikes along bars and cafes just 10 mintues from the Villa.
The Gulf Coast is 150km away which on the US road system is not a struggle at all!
How to get there
Plenty of scheduled & charter flights into Orlando International (35 mins) and Sandford (45 mins). The property is easily accessible off the major interestate I4. All major car hire companies at both airports.
Shuttle service from the property to the attractions available at a small charge. Taxis are metered and are inexpensive (e.g. MPV 6 people, $35.00 to Disney).
