Completely refurnished. We have selected high quality comfortable beds and sofas and have fitted top quality carpets. The bedding is also high quality cotton sheets. So you can be sure you can relax at the end of the long, hectic days at the theme parks or after long rounds of golf in the hot sun. Many villas are fitted with cheaper furniture which looks good on the photos but is not all it seems. Unwind in the heated pool overlooking pretty woods alive with birdsong and get a good nights sleep ready for the next day of fun and things to do.

The villa itself is in a quiet part of Indian Point, a well established residential community based around a lake, which also offers a tennis court and children's play area. Tranquility Villa is backed by a wooded conservation area, which ensures that you are not overlooked from the rear. Night-times are quiet, with only a little neighbourhood traffic. Many villas in the “Disney Area” are located close to busy roads and so are affected by the constant drone of traffic day and night.

However, the villa is also very conveniently placed for the attractions, restaurants, shops and entertainments. You will find many of these on highway 192, which is just 5 minutes drive from the villa. Disney is only 15 minutes away and the Orlando parks (Seaworld, Islands of Adventure, Wet n Wild and and MGM Studios) can all be reached within 30 minutes. Several of the major shopping Malls and designer outlets are within 20-30 minutes. Indeed, most of what you need locally is all within 30 minutes drive of the villa. There are also a good selection of golf courses within 30-40 minutes of the villa. Beware, many of the newer villa communities, albeit 20 minutes from Disney are based along major roads way out of Kissimmee where you will find nothing nearby other than villas, petrol stations and supermarkets.

By the way, there is a section in our guests manual which explains how families can get reductions of $100 - $200 off the price of entry to the major parks and attractions. Well worth thinking about, and if you take advantage this helps to make your holiday at Tranquility Villa one of the best value for money offerings on the market.

If you are going further afield there is also a quick route from the villa onto the I4 which takes you to Tampa (Busch Gardens) and which avoids some of the heavy traffic which can build up at certain times of day on the main routes out of the Disney Area. The Space Coast can be reached in about 40-50 minutes heading east along the 192 from the villa, also avoiding heavy early morning traffic and avoiding toll roads.

If you’ve been to Florida before you may know the routine – driving away from the airport, sitting in queues for an hour or more, driving 20 or 30 miles out of your way to get keys and arriving at the villa tired and frustrated, FEAR NOT. Tranquility Villa guests arriving at Orlando International Airport are directed by a 20-30 minute route to the villa by a back road which avoids the toll roads, the motorway and most of the likely congestion points. The management company (which is local, and available for necessary call out 24 hours a day) leaves the keys at a 24 hour pick up in Indian Point. So once you’ve picked up your hire car you know that, within about 30 minutes, you can be relaxing in comfort in your air-conditioned holiday home.

Of course, if you want to grab some provisions before you arrive, or soon after, you don’t have to worry about closing times. Wal-mart is there just 5 minutes from Tranquility Villa, 24 hours a day, every day – it only ever closes on Xmas day.

The villa is bright and airy, has high ceilings and plenty of living space. It is fully air-conditioned and has ceiling fans in some rooms. The spacious immaculate kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge freezer, electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, waste disposal, coffee maker, toaster and - for our British guests - an electric kettle as well as plenty of necessary pots pans and utensils for 8 people. There is a large capacity washer and drier in the utility room, together with an iron and ironing board. The bedrooms comprise a master bedroom with an extra large sized bed, TV and DVD player, walk in wardrobe, en-suite bathroom with walk in shower and separate corner whirlpool tub, a second bedroom with a king sized bed and a TV, a second bathroom with tub and shower, a third bedroom with a double sized bed and a fourth bedroom with 2 single beds. All the bedrooms are attractively themed and furnished. All linen is high quality white cotton. Towels are provided. We also provide plenty of clothes hangers! The fully furnished living room includes a double and two twin soft leather sofas and includes a 28 inch TV, dvd player and Music Centre. There is a glass topped breakfast table in the kitchen (seats 4) and a glass topped dining table (seats 6) in a separate dining area.

Telephones are located in the kitchen and master bedroom. Local calls are free, other calls can be made if a charge card is obtained (from Wal-mart or any 7-11 store for example). Internet access is by direct dial up locally (free) provided your computer is set up with a service provider who offers dial up in Kissimmee (try www.net2roam.com if you require a temporary pay as you go solution)

The pool is within a screened area and can be heated if required – not normally necessary April – October. There is also a large covered area providing shade, featuring table and chairs and 2 sun loungers also within the screened area. Enjoy lazy days and warm evenings by the pool or under the covered area, which can be lit at night, without being bothered by bugs.

The Florida / Orlando Disney Area

What can we tell you about Florida that you dont know already. If you've not been before, we recommend a car. Floridians dont walk far - big wide roads and few footpaths. But there are plenty of scenic walks near the villa and/or a short drive away. It is hot most of the year, but afternoon storms are normal - quick busts of rain and then the bright hot sun is out just as quick as it went in.

Kissimmee / Indian Point area

We could write a book on what to see and do in the area - but there is no point because there are already hunderds of books on the market! There is enough to keep everyone happy / occupied for every day of your holiday, and its all on your doorstep.

Dont forget, we have included in our guest manual tips on how couples or fanilies can get $100- $200 or more off theme park tickets.

How to get there

Plenty of flights to Orlando International Airport or Sandford. We provide easy to follow routes to our villa from these airports.

Car hire recommended - all major companies provide cars at both airports. We normally use Dollars and pre-book online to get great rates. DON'T PAY FOR UPGRADES AT THE AIRPORT THOUGH - VERY EXPENSIVE.
