The Florida / Orlando Disney Area
East coast (Daytona) and West coast (Tampa/Clearwater) beaches are an easy 60 minute drive as is Kennedy Space Centre
Florida is known for its warm and pleasant weather, which is why it is one of the top tourist destinations in North America and has the nickname "The Sunshine State."
The average temperature in the state during the winter months is in the low to mid 60's (near 20C), occasionally getting up into the high 70's (near 25C), Florida has early and warm springs and long autumns sometimes lasting well into December, with sapphire-blue skies, low humidity, and only very occasional showers. Highs in the spring and autumn hover in the low 80s (20-22C). Summers are long, hot, and humid, (70% or more) with temperatures in the state averaging in the high 80's to mid 90's(30-35C) during June, July, and August.
Summers are wet and humid -- but there's an upside. The mornings are quite bearable, with the heat of the day being the worst between early and mid-afternoon. It will then begin to cloud over, with ominously dark and heavy thunderclouds. Just when the day is getting too hot to stand, there is an almost daily thundershower with lots of lightning and rumbling thunder -- it will rain as much as 1-2 inches (2.5-5cm) in an hour or two, but will clear off -- and the puddles will drain away -- to leave a very pleasant evening with stellar sunsets and starlit nights.

Terra Verde Resort
An exclusive gated resort community of 3 to 7 bed properties completed in 2005. It is located on Poinciana off hwy 192 at marker 10, Kissimmee and within easy driving of the Orlando area attractions
The clubhouse houses the concierge office, cyber café, fitness centre, sauna and spa whilst outside is a resort sized pool with sun deck and loungers. A tikki hut, beach volley ball court, kids play area with climbing rock together with a stocked fishing lake adds to the impressive facilities – they are all yours to enjoy at no extra cost
For your safety and security the gatehouse is manned 24/7
How to get there
Most charter airlines use Sandford which is a slightly longer drive. It may be easier to book a car hire with your airline but I would suggest ensuring your rental company is located on airport. The drive to our villa (instructions sent on booking) is easy despite left hand drive and right side of road (UK guests). You will need a full UK drivers license (card and paper forms). Please ensure you get full insurance (major hire companies usually insist or at least offer it). You will need to leave credit card details I have found good deals on the internet and often at rates (using major rental companies) significantly less than you can get on their sites

Our ground floor master suite features a king size bed, 2 bedside tables with lamps and alarm clock, dresser, walk in wardrobe, cable TV and ceiling fan. The bathroom has a hand basin, walk in shower, roman style tub and separate WC 3 further en suite rooms have a king, queen or 2 large single beds. All have bedside tables with lamps, alarm clock, dresser, cable TV, walk in wardrobes and ceiling fans The bathrooms have bath/shower/wc and hand basin The remaining 2 rooms are ideal for the kids, each having 2 single beds, bedside table with lamps, cable TV and walk in wardrobe and are themed with Nemo or Pooh Bear. These rooms are either side of the 5th bathroom with bath/shower/wc/hand basin All bed linens are provided
Eating
Our fully equipped kitchen comes with everything needed to prepare a simple snack or a full meal. Meals can be served in the nook or formal dining room both seating 6 in comfort For quests who enjoy eating out there is a wide selection of restaurants along hwy 192 within a 10 minute drive A 24 hour Wal-Mart supermarket is 5 minutes away

Our villa is within an easy 10/15 minute drive of Disney Main Gate giving access to the Disney Theme Parks of Magic Kingdom, MGM, Epcot and Animal Kingdom. A little further (max 30 minutes) are Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure together with Sea World and Discovery Cove where you can swim with the dolphins - be sure to book in advance. For a slightly less energetic day why not visit one of the water parks - Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Wet n'Wild or Adventure Island. For something a little different perhaps visit Kennedy Space Centre, Disney Quest (an indoor interactive Theme Park), Gatorland or the internationally famous Cirque du Soleil. A visit to the Everglades or an airboat tour, fishing (lake or inshore), horse riding or golf at one of the many courses in the area are other options
Shopping
For groceries there is a 24 hour Walmart within 2 miles. For the serious shoppers there are many outlets and Malls covering a wide choice of goods. Look out for Pointe Orlando, Florida Mall, Millenia Mall, Prime Outlets (formerly Belz) and Premium Outlet Mall
