About the home

The exclusive woodland setting of Doral Woods is an excellent place for relaxation and yet is within convenient reach of all the action of Disney and the other attractions. Be at one with nature in our unspoilt landscape. You can enjoy your time at the house by relaxing in the heated swimming pool, on the extended decking or in the 6 seater hot tub.

This self catering villa provides a home from home experience with a well equipped kitchen and laundry room. There is plenty of entertainment from the games area with air hockey, table tennis and darts to the PS2 and extensive video/DVD library of over 100 titles including many of the favourite classics. If that is not enough then there are many board games and even a library of books.


The Setting: Doral Woods is a very peaceful development set within a wildlife reserve within each reach of Disney and lots of other attractions. It has a community pool as well as a floodlit tennis court for use by our guests. Within a very easy drive are supermarkets, golf and horse riding. Just down the road is the Osceola Environmental Center which is open at weekends to visitors and is free of charge. There you can wander along the board walk over the swamps and go alligator spotting. You will also see many of the wonderful water birds of Florida and also see a Bald Eagles untidy but enormous nest. A world worth exploring. Alternatively you can take an air boat ride through swamp land and for a real scare take the midnight tour.


This wonderful 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom air conditioned vacation home in Doral Woods features a king master suite, queen suite and two twin bedrooms perfect for the kids – all with cable TVs.

You’ll also find a living area with a big screen TV and DVD player with surround sound. An extremely well equipped kitchen provides a home from home stress free experience should you choose to cook in or take out. A formal dining area seats 8 for those special occasions whilst more casual dining can be in the kitchen nook and breakfast bar and al fresco on the covered lanai by the pool. Outside you can enjoy the large private pool with plenty of decking and a soak in the hot tub whilst watching the local wildlife. The screened patio features comfortable outdoor furniture and a gas barbecue grill - the perfect place to soak up the Florida sun!?

The garden has its own fruit trees for guests to help themselves this includes our miraculous Fruit Cocktail tree which sports tangerines, grapefruit and two types of oranges. The bottles brush tree in flower is a sight to behold and if you are lucky you may see the humming birds feeding from their nectar.

This comfortable vacation home also has a Games Room with air hockey, table tennis and darts as well as a PlayStation 2, Wi-Fi internet access. There is CD player and iPod docking station along with a comprehensive video/DVD library and lots of board games and a book library – something for everyone

The home is very child friendly with extensive baby/ child equipment, cot, high chair, playpen, pushchair etc available free of charge (more details on request). The room layout is ideal for two families or those traveling with a nanny or granny and offers considerable flexibility with sleeping arrangements with both a sofa bed and a rollaway bed. All bed linen and a plentiful supply of luxury towels including those for use around the pool are provided.


Doral Woods features a community swimming pool and floodlit tennis court for your complimentary use. It is located 5 minutes from a shopping center with grocery stores, restaurants, banks and gas station. ? And, best of all, it’s located in a beautiful wooded area and yet within easy distance of all the activities

The property has a non smoking policy. It is licensed by the State of Florida to sleep a maximum of 10 people including babies and infants.

Conditions

£150 per week booking deposit is required with the balance due 8 weeks prior to the holiday. A £200 damage deposit is required to be held against damage or excessive cleaning.
Rates are quoted for up to 8 and addition people will be charged extra.

The Florida / Orlando Disney Area region

No visit would be complete without at least one day at the Theme Parks. Disney World is the closest being just 17 minutes drive away. Visit Mickey at MGM / Magic Kingdom, go techno crazy at EPCOT or make a rapid descent of Everest at Animal Kingdom. For aquatic animals you can visit Shamu and his friends at Seaworld (20 mins) and if it's an adrenaline buzz you need then where else but Islands of Adventure or Universal Orlando and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (25 mins).

If you need to shop and drop then both the Millenuim Mall and Florida Mall are within easy driving distance to provide excellent variety of shops.

The Kissimmee / Doral Woods area

For those regular travelers who are looking for more than the main attractions there are many local activities. At weekends the Osceola Schools Environmental Center is open to the public and there you can take a boardwalk through swamp land and go alligator spotting. Animal lovers might like to take advantage of the horse riding facilities provided just 3 minutes drive away whilst the children will love Green Meadows Petting Farm where they can get hands on with milking cows, washing pigs, feeding goats, holding new born chicks and riding ponies.

Just a short ride to highway 192 will provide an extensive variety of restaurants to choose from and watch out for the Classic car parade at Old Town on Saturday nights. The Saturday night cruise being largest weekly car event in the world. See toffee being made join in with the line dancing and ride the fair ground. Something for all.

Orlando International Airport is serviced by a large number of scheduled airlines from a variety of European Airports. Many fly direct whilst others fly via a US hub e.g. Chicago, DC. Direct flights from the UK take around 8 to 9 hours ( faster coming back!). Charter flights tend to come into Sanford International Airport. You can book your flights through your travel agent or search on the internet for the best route and deals. Make sure that your agent is ATOL protected. Public transport is limited in Florida so you really do need to book car hire. There are plenty of companies to choose from and again this can be booked by the travel agent or online.

Doral Woods is 30 minutes west of Orlando International Airport (MCO), 50 minutes south west of Sanford International Airport and 1 hour 30 minutes east of Tampa airport. It is 10 minutes drive form Interstate 4.

Located 10 miles south of Highway 192 on Poinciana Boulevard and 3 miles south of the Orange Blossom Trail (17/92). The nearest shops are at Poinciana, a 5 minute drive away, where you will find a choice of food supermarkets, video rental, a bank, a variety of restaurants, a nail bar and a Super Wal-Mart providing all your needs.

Travelling time to the many tourist attractions ranges between 15 to 30 minutes drive. The closest beaches are those on the Atlantic and are just under 1 hour traveling east, as is Kennedy Space Centre. Travelling west towards the Gulf Coast (Tampa, Clearwater and St Petersberg) will take about one and a half hours. Here you will find Busch Gardens.

“Home away from home!” We thoroughly enjoyed the villa with all of its amenities. Clearly this was equipped with children in mind. Our 2, 8 and 10 year-olds found things to do for the entire stay. Naturally the pool was number one, but they found plenty to do in the evening as well playing Nintendo, ping-pong, watching movies etc. There was no "Mom, I have nothing to do!" moment. Lesley, the owner of the house, took exceptional care of us before, during and after our stay. We felt really welcome and if there was a question in our minds, we got a prompt, friendly response back in no time. I can really recommend this villa for anyone travelling with kids!

“Couldn't have asked for a better property rental” After the rental property my family and I had rented months previously with another property rental company fell through on short notice, we were so fortunate to have found the Annan Villa. The villa had everything we could have possibly needed at a price that was very reasonable. Lesley, the villa owner, was an absolute delight to do business with. She answered all of our questions and provided some great advice. The villa is incredibly spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, and is located in a quiet neighbourhood. Returning to the villa after a busy day at the theme parks was a welcomed treat. The pool was absolutely amazing! The time it took my family and I to travel from the villa to the parks was relatively short (approx. 15 - 20 minutes) and there are plenty of restaurants and places to shop close by. Simply put, the Annan Villa exceeded our expectations. Without reservation, I would gladly rent this property again and would highly recommend it to others.
