Florida is nicknamed the "Sunshine State" because of its generally warm climate—subtropical in the northern and central regions of the state, with a true tropical climate in the southern portion.
High temperatures in the state seldom exceed 100 °F (38 °C), with much of Florida commonly seeing a high summer temperature of 90s °F (32+ °C).
During late autumn and winter months, Florida has experienced occasional cold fronts that can bring high winds and relatively cooler temperatures for the entire state, with high temperatures that could remain into the 40s and 50s (4–15 °C) and lows of 30s and 40s (0–10 °C) for few days.
Central Florida is Not Just Disney!
Osceola County is the home of Kissimmee and St. Cloud, an area only eighteen miles from downtown Orlando that serves as an important crossroads in Central Florida. While Central Florida is famous for its various world-class theme parks, dining and resorts, there is even more to the area than meets to eye. Once you have ridden Space Mountain at the Magic Kingdom and witnessed Jaws jump out of the water at Universal Studios, be sure to tour the Kissimmee-St. Cloud area to see what it has to offer. The following places in the Kissimmee-St. Cloud area are worth paying a visit as a change from the parks.
Reptile World Serpentarium located in St.Cloud
Silver Spurs Rodeo located in East Kissimmee, check their website for schedule of events.
Kissimmee Old Town, located just off the 192 highway West Kissimmee.
Boggy Creek Airboats
Gaylord Palms Hotel, large indoor themed areas, well worth a visit.
Fishing on lake Toho.
Florida Mall, probably the largest shopping mall in the area.

"Great location and facilites"
This house gave us everything we needed for a great holiday. Clean, well equipped and in a pleasant area. Pools and public areas very well kept. Would recommend for couples and families alike. Six adults would be easily accommodated in the property!

"Well placed, compact townhouse on a secure community at a reasonable price."
We were a couple staying here for five nights to do the theme parks before returning to the UK. It was well positioned for this and we felt it was a secure gated community. It was as described by the owner and as shown in the photos. We stayed in January when it was quiet and we didn't use any of the facilities - pool etc. Don't know what it would be like in high season.
We thought the ground floor master bedroom and en-suit were very big for a townhouse. The living area and the kitchen were fine for us (a couple) and would be fine for a couple with two children but we think it would be too cramped for six, especially if they were adults.
We thought the owner, Rob, was very helpful and responded promptly to our emails before we booked and returned the cheque deposit quickly also. We had no issues with him whatsoever. We had no issues with the townhouse or the gated community and had no reason to contact the management company so we cannot say anything about them.
Would I recommend it? That depends on how many of you are going, what you want and what you are looking for. I think it would be an ideal place to stay and do the theme parks and then go on to have a week or two over by the Gulf coast to rest and relax. It's not the place I would recommend for a rest and relax holiday because there is no private outdoor space - you need your own villa for that I think. We had a villa for a week in Orlando, then three in another villa by the coast then 5 days back in Orlando at this townhouse. It was good for us but I think 5 days was a bit short, I should have had a little longer there.

We have been holidaying in Florida for the last 8-9yrs always staying in Villa's, we have never considered staying in a town house before up until now and would recommend staying in one to friends and family. The town house was clean, very comfortable and conveneintly located to all the local attractions. The town house is on a gated community which is manned 24/7 which gave you peace of mind also the surrounding areas was very pleasent.

"The house is cosy and comfortable- feel like home"
Me and my four deaf friends- we have really enjoyed our stay and feel safe and quiet in this area, the security was on 24 hours/7 days by the gate and the manager in clubhouse were very helpful and friendly. While we stay, we took the bus (number 56) just $2 to Magic kingdom or other disney world its cheaper than park your car, or number 4 bus to Florida mall and change bus to number 37 to universal studios. Our first night it was difficult to find this place at night time because our sat nav wasn't working ( I recommend to everyone- must have sat nav) it would better go there in day time- its easier to see. Wal mart just not far about 2 mins drive but walk about 30 mins. There are plenty of restaurants and dinner shows on Irfon brosnan highway and vine st. Downtown disney is the best place for night time- dinner and shows. We would like go Florida again in the future :)

"Great house and community for a great price!"
Stayed in Rob Burton's house with a family of 2 adults and two boys aged 4 & 9 for a full month in September 2011. The photos on holiday lettings UK definately don't do the house justice, it's nice and spacious and is equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. Our boys enjoyed having their own space upstairs but made sure they made the most of the ensuite spa bath! The house is more or less next to one of the small pools - we called this our private pool as we had it to ourselves nearly every time we used it. It's also next to the tennis, basketball & volleyball courts. Again we had some fun with the tennis racquets and balls that were in the home. Venetian Bay is a lovely, quiet and well maintained community that's 2 minutes away from a 24 hour Walmart, 5 minutes from a non-touristy shopping centre (The Loop) and has really easy access to main roads to get to all of the parks, etc. We also enjoyed being close to downtown Kissimmee which is a bit more of a 'real' town and again less touristy. The only fault I could find was that the bedrooms were very light in the mornings, but really that's just our family's personal taste I guess. All in all a fantastic stay and I'd recommend this place to anyone.
