We are a working arable farm situated on the edge of the North Yorkshire National Park surrounded by spectacular views. There are several easy short walks within the farm. This is a first floor S/C apartment with an approach via wooden staircase leading onto a private verandah and entrance.
We offer comfortable, tastefully furnished and fully equipped accommodation for 2 persons including TV, microwave etc. A washing machine and Dryer are available in the main house if required. WiFi is available if required.

The apartment has been recently decorated therefore offers a fresh and welcoming feel being both light and airy.
It is a small compact apartment, with comfortable sitting area, adequate cooking facilities, superking/2 single bed, en suite with a shower, washbasin and WC. The apartment offers relaxing living space for 2 persons.
All bedding, towels etc. are provided. No extra charge for electricity.

There are several good walks around the farm with fantastic views and a variety of wildlife to enjoy. If you enjoy walking, hop on a moors bus and explore 1,400 miles of paths and tracks, picturesque villages and traditional pubs. Ride on the NYMR steam railway from Pickering to Whitby. Visit Eden Camp a modern history theme Museum, or explore the National Trust Nunnington Hall. The Market Town of Helmsley is the perfect Market Town with a bustling market square, dramatic castle ruins, charming tea rooms,and inviting Inns. The Cleveland Way and Ebor Way both begin from Helmsley.
We are flexible with the bookings and aim to accommodate differing requirements whenever possible.
We have two dogs which are pets - an elderly Standard Poodle, and a Labradoodle dog.

Northern England region
The North Yorkshire Moors National Park offering facilities for cycling, walking horse riding, the list is endless. Pickering and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway is 7 miles away; Helmsley Castle the Walled Garden, and Duncombe Park are within a few miles too plus the many small varied shops for gifts etc, Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Filey all offering differing beaches and attractions all within approximately 25 miles.
We have several National Trust and English Heritage properties all within reasonable driving distance. Spend a day visiting Castle Howard, the grounds are stunning and the house is steeped in history plus the film Brideshead Revisited re-filmed there.

A market is held in Kirkbymoorside on Wednesday, on Friday in Helmsley and Saturday in Malton. Helmsley has a small theatre which offers various entertainment. Scarborough and Whitby have several theatres offering a range of entertainment. A game of golf is available at Kirkbymoorside Golf Club where there is a 19 hole Golf Course.
For those who like the thrill of horse racing we can offer a good choice of racecourses within the immediate area consisting of York, Wetherby, Beverley, Thirsk, Catterick, Doncaster, Ripon and Redcar. There are many country shows taking place throughout the Summer Months plus our local Ryedale Show and the Ryedale Festival is also a great attraction.
Where as there is no actual garden there is a private balcony with furniture for relaxing and immediate open spaces in which to walk enjoying the views without leaving the farm. You are surrounded by a grass paddock which leads onto a private airfield and open fields; with amazing panoramic views across the moors, the Howardian Hills, and over to Whitby.
There are 2 delightful pubs within staggering distance, and many other eateries and restaurants slightly further afield all offering good food. Market Day in Kirkbymoorside is Wednesday, Friday Helmsley and Saturday Malton.
The National Trust and English Heritage have several properties nearby, the famous North Yorkshire Railway is based a few miles away at Pickering and the Castle Howard Estate is a few miles away, to name but a few places of interest. Drive across the moors towards the coast where you have a choice of beaches to visit, such as Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby, Sands End, Scarborough, and Filey. There are various Country Shows throughout the Summer providing enjoyment for all.
