Northern England region

North Yorkshire is a brilliant place to escape to. You immediately start to slow down and realise that everyone has time to smile and say hello to each other! Once you have unwound, you have so much choice. Miles of unspoilt countryside to discover.

Kirkbymoorside is a small town off the main road from Hemlsley to Scarborough. It is surrounded by beautiful unspoilt countryside. Visitors are well catered for with tea-rooms, artisan bakery, public houses, restaurants and antique shops. Wednesday is market day and locals and visitors alike can enjoy the bustling atmosphere. There are five pubs in the surrounding area which are regularly in the Good Pub Guide. Nearby Hutton-le-Hole has Ryedale Museum and a wonderful handmade chocolate factory (well worth the visit) and Lastingham is beautiful old church. Pickering is the home of the North York Moors Steam Railway and is a 'must do' day out for all visitors. I could go on for ever, as you can see I love the area, I hope that one day you might be able to sample the magic of the area.
