Kirkbymoorside

Gillamoor remains an unspoiled working village, through which sheep are regularly herded and farmers are seen going about their daily tasks. There are three farms within the village boundary.

At one end of the village, the picturesque church of St Aidan sits on 'Surprise View', which is a dramatic and panoramic view of the moors.

Although perched on the edge of the North York Moors, Gillamoor has easy access to Kirkbymoorside (2 miles) and Pickering (10 Miles) where there are a variety of food shops and supermarkets for general provisions.

Our lovely local inn & excellent country restaurant, 'The Royal Oak', is 50 yards away from the cottage door. It is renowned for the quality of its food & beers and visitors often remark on its value for money.
