Fir Tree Lodge is situated approximately 5 miles from the nearest town of Kirkby Stephen. Set in its own private
grounds this location offers peace and tranquillity with farm fields immediately in front of the property and far reaching views to the hills of the Lake District.

The area is well suited for hill walking in the Eden Valley, touring the Lake District or Yorkshire Dales. All amenities are available in the nearby town with shopping and places to eat. Fir Tree Lodge offers the opportunity for a peaceful relaxing, uninterrupted holiday or opportunities for a more active family holiday.

The Cumbria/Lake District

Fir Tree Lodge is situated in the rural parish of Barras. An area made up of a mix of farms, former farmhouses and cottages. Approximately 5½ miles away is the town of Kirkby Stephen which provides a supermarket, hotels and public houses, banks and the parish church of St Stephen's. The nearest town of Brough is about 4 miles away which provides a general store, hotel and public house. The A66 is easily accessible with the Yorkshire Dales within 5 miles and The Lake District National Park within an hours drive.

The Eden Valley is an area of stunning river scenery, Lakeland Fells and the awe-inspiring North Pennines. Eden is a district of undulating meadows, beautiful villages and historic market towns and is a special destination at any time of the year.


Kirkby Stephen / Kaber area

If you a planning a holiday steeped in history and heritage or a more energetic time seeking adventure and outdoor activities, or perhaps a totally relaxing time taking in the scenery with the occasional pamper treatment to help you unwind, then Fir Tree Lodge is for you. The larger bedroom has fully fitted wardrobes and en suite bath/shower room.

The two other bedrooms share a bath/shower room. Fully central heated with instant hot water provided by a combi boiler.

Patio doors lead on to the decked area with patio furniture available for the summer months There are also Patio doors leading from the main bedroom with steps down to the large, well maintained garden area, mostly laid to lawn.

Ample parking for up to 4 vehicles and an outside storage shed suitable for bicycles.
