"Do NOT stay here if you like cleanliness and comfort."
We stayed here all of half an hour, on entering the cottage there is a musty damp smell, on inspecting the toilet (which was a cupboard) the cheap plastic toilet seat was dirty and smelled strongly of… More
We're so sorry that you didn't enjoy your holiday. We do say in the advert the cottage has low beams and narrow doorways and there are pictures of the interior and exterior of the cottage. The cottage is thoroughly cleaned and aired before guest's arrival. You and your husband looked round the property before check-in. No complaints or issues raised in your review were made at check-in or before your departure from the property. Any complaints made about cleaning or smells would have been investigated promptly and resolved if we had been informed of your concerns. Instead you sent your complaints directly to Holiday Lettings and Cumbrian Tourism several days after leaving the cottage and your complaints were investigated by both organisations. There was no evidence to substantiate your complaints or evidence in the photos to suggest there was anything wrong with the property.
