Darcy House is a listed Georgian property, set within the market town of Kirkby Lonsdale. Built in the middle of the seventeenth century, the house boasts original features such as shuttering to the windows, oak beams and some hand painted Victorian wallpaper. Deluxe accommodation is offered with a delightful mix of fixtures and fittings blending in with objets d'art and well-chosen accessories. The emphasis is very much on sophistication and elegance combined with comfort. The property is centrally heated with a gas wood burning effect stove in the snug. On the lower ground floor, French doors lead out to the garden. On the first floor, bedroom 1 has an antique French suite plus a feature fireplace. A super king suite is available in the second bedroom as well as an en-suite shower room/WC.

The Lake District National Park lies at the heart of Cumbria and contains well known and much loved holiday destinations such as Windermere, Bowness, Ambleside, Coniston and Grasmere, here there are lots of charming Lakeland villages to discover and visitor attractions for all the family.
The northern and western lakes have miles of untouched natural rugged beauty and rural villages as well as being home to the historic northern lakes town of Keswick with its many shops, pubs and restaurants; providing a great holiday base.
 Other areas to discover include the Eden Valley, Cartmel peninsula, south east Cumbria and the Carlisle and Hadrian's Wall area; all equally beautiful and very handy for day trips into the lakes.

Kirkby Lonsdale

Guests can easily visit the delights of three counties whilst on holiday in Kirkby Lonsdale. The Trough of Bowland in Lancashire, The Lake District National Park in Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales are all within easy reach. All these areas offer outdoor pursuits and marvellous scenery with terrific opportunities for taking photographs. The town itself has a fascinating array of shops together with great restaurants and tearooms to suit all budgets. The town boasts many fine listed properties, several of which are shops or public houses.
