This traditional Irish Cottage is situated 1.6 miles from Kinvarra less than an hours drive from bustling Galway City. This boasts simple but well equipped accommodation with a welcoming wood burning stove and full central heating. Kinvarra is a scenic village with its own harbour. It has a number of pubs restaurants and a playground. It hosts two annual festivals in May and August offering lots of traditional music sessions poetry and drama. A central base for touring the Burren National Park, Aran Islands and Aliwee Caves or venture to the Connemara National Park.
Kinvarra (1.6 miles) is renowned for its 2 yearly festivals which are "Cruinniu na mBad" and "Fleadh na gCuach". Cruinniu na mBad (The Gathering of the Boats) Festival is Ireland's best know Galway Hooker festival. The festival is held in August each year. Fleadh na gCuach (The Cuckoo Festival) which is held each year on the May Bank Holiday Weekend is a Traditional Irish Music festival, where one will find over 50 music sessions in the villages' pubs.
