About the home

Coolefin House is a new ,modern , well -decorated, detached house with very spacious garden /lawn area with lovely trees/shrubs , in a very quiet ,peaceful ,relaxed location ,just a few mins. drive from the picturesque harbour village of Kinvara.
Ardrahan and Gort are only a few mins . drive in the opposite direction ,and there are many local attractions ,golf courses , childrens play area ,/all weather ,astro-turf tennis/football pitch ,beautiful scenery with plenty of sea air , country ,mountain or beach walks , cycling ,sit on the quay in Kinvara watching the boats come and go.

See the sun go down on Galway Bay ,have a nice meal in one of the many pubs/ restaurants/cafes dotted around the village with good trad. music most evenings ,shops to browse in or you can visit the vibrant ,bustling , medieval city of Galway ,with its dramatic festivals held throughout the year .

Connemara is a lovely ,scenic area ,just north of Galway and well worth a day trip to see its natural beauty .
A visit to the Aran Islands,located off the Galway coast , takes you back in time to a way of living unique to them .
Shannon airport is only 40 mins. away and Bunratty Castle and folk park is well worth a visit .
Coole Park ,the home of Lady Gregory and the place of inspiration for alot of W.B.Yeats poetry is only a few mins drive with its lovely woodland walks, lake , picnic area ,etc.The Joe Cooley trad.music festival is held in Gort on Oct. bank holiday weekend each year.

Kilmacdough monastic site and Gort golf course are located nearby.

Coolefin House has a lovely entrance hall with 2 large sitting rooms on either side ,one with open log fire and gas fire in other one ,lovely big,well equipped kitchen /dining room with double doors leading out to garden , utility and downstairs bathroom .
Four large bedrooms ,two of which are en-suite and family bathroom with separate large bath and walk -in shower upstairs .
All wooden/tiled floors throughout ,well decorated with matching furniture ,lamps ,hairdryers ,mirrors ,etc.
Cot and highchair available if needed

Coolefin House has a very large, enclosed lawn/garden area with nice trees /shrubs, garden seating ,barbecue ,etc.and nice mountain and lake views to front ,green fields with sheep grazing happily at the back .
There is loads of off- street ,safe parking space as well.

Rental Period -- 16.00 hrs.on arrival day to 11.00 on day of departure .
Booking -- 50% deposit with booking ,balance 6 weeks before arrival .
Linen -- All linen and towels included and beds made up .
Security dep. -- A refundable security deposit of 125 euros is payable with bal. ,6 weeks before arr.

Electricity ,gas and heating included .
Changeover day is flexible ,short stays welcome ,

The County Galway / County Clare / County Galway region

Coolefin House is located between the villages of Kinvara and Ardrahan in south Co. Galway and right on the doorstep of the famous Burren region renouned for its limestone rock formations which are home to many alpine and Mediterranean plants ,tombs and monuments including Poulnabrone Dolmen which is an ancient burial mound ,Caherconnell stone fort ,Aillwee caves and the fantastic Cliffs of Moher with its breathtaking views .
Galway city hosts many dramatic festivals throughout the year and is only 30 mins .away and is the gateway to the beautiful,scenic , Connemara region which has attracted many artists and film makers during the years, visit the town of Clifden with its famous sky road drive ,Kylemore Abbey and gardens and you can take a boat trip to the Aran Islands,located off the Galway /Connemara coast and see a way of life which is unique to that area .

The Kinvarra area

Kinvara is a very picturesque, harbour village ,overlooked by Dunguaire Castle ,which holds medieval banquets twice nightly from April to Oct.You can sit and relax on the quay area ,see the boats come and go ,strool around the village and browse in the shops ,visit the farmers market each Fri. morning and buy some fresh ,local produce and listen to the Irish music while enjoying a cup of tea/coffee there.
Kinvara has a great choice of pubs/cafe/restaurants ,locally caught seafood being a speciality ,with trad. music most nights ,2 supermarkets with fresh, locally produced meats , veg, deli.,fresh baked bread ,etc.
There is also a pharmacy ,beauticians ,hairdressers ,internet cafe ,post office ,ATM., boutique ,bike hire .
Kinvara hosts a trad. music festival each May bank holiday weekend and a hooker boat racing festival in mid Aug.
